Fusion SEL V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,105 miles

Was driving my 2007 Ford Fusion SEL on highway doing approx. 55 mph when car decelerated to about 10 mph and was shaking and sputtering like it had "bad fuel" and the wrench light came on. Was able to get off the road into a parking lot where I shut the car off, waited a few minutes, started the car and it drove fine, no problems with accelerating after that one incident.

A week later the air conditioner stopped working so when I took it to the Ford dealer I mentioned the deceleration problem, asked them to put it on machine to read diagnostic codes and let me know. Said the throttle body needed replacement along with spark plugs, and the air compressor was bad so it also needed replacement. Very expensive repair bill and 6 weeks later the air conditioner stopped again! This time they said the O-ring wasn't stalled properly and there would be no charge for this repair.
