Takata recall I live in Texas and drive a 2007 Ford. Both the age of my car and where I live are supposed to put me high on the list for the airbag recall, but I have heard nothing since a recall notification in July 2016. The delay is dangerous. The process needs to be accelerated. I don't feel safe in my own vehicle. "when did this happen" question below is not applicable. I made up a date because it's a required question.

I received a letter from Ford dated July 2016 regarding a safety recal notice 16S26/NHTSA recall 16V-384. I brought my vehicle to my local dealership which is lester glenn Ford 900nj-35 ocean township, NJ 07712 732-201-2167 to have the problem resolved. They told me the part (airbag) was not available and they would call me as soon as it was in stock. I have called many times and I continue to be told that the part is not available. Its been 5 months! I work for a Lexus dealership and all the customers with the same airbag issue have been given rental cars in order to protect their safety and those effected are getting their airbag frontal airbag inflator replaced. Why isnt Ford doing something, I mean its not a broken radio or navigation error, its a safety issue and I feel Ford has done nothing to help me!

Takata recall - I received my 1st recall notice from Ford dated July 2016. Aug 24, 2016 I called Ford and they said the parts are under production and would be available 4th quarter 2016. I called Ford 10/18/2016 and they told me they are still engineering the replacement air bags. I was given incorrect information in August, and I am very concerned if Ford is doing anything at all about this. I do not drive this car because of the possible danger, I had to buy another car, and it is hard to pay for the new car. Meanwhile I cannot sell the Ford because of the danger. So please be honest with me, what is going on with the takata air bag recall?
