Fusion SL 2.3L 4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,000 miles

At 64,933 miles my transmission goes on the car. Luckily I bought an extended warranty. A Livonia Ford dealership did the work. Too bad some engine components were not tightened and I had to take it back because everything was rattling. Fast forward to 75000 miles and my car is drinking the oil 1 quart at a time. It is making a rattling noise when I start it and it is even worse when it is cold. An Ann Arbor dealership replaces my motor. So here we are at 100,000 miles and I have a noisy motor again. Too bad for me my warranty expired February of this year. So these crappy motors that Ford put in these cars are basically JUNK.

I have owned a 2008 Fusion, 2010 Fusion, 2 - 2012 Fusions and a 2013 Fusion Titanium. The 2008 was the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. My brother works at Ford and he told me that the engine is junk. Ford knew it from day 1. I changed the oil every 3000 miles on this car. in the 3 years after they put the new motor in, I have only put 25k miles on it. Daily driver to and from work and to my sons hockey games.

I have read all of the complaints on these motors. THEY ARE JUNK!

Why don't the automakers take responsibility for the junk they make?

I think I am moving over to GM. My dad is retired GM and the only reason I have been buying Ford is because my brother is an engineer there.

Never again......
