"takata recall" I called woody anderson Ford in huntsville, al and did not get a call back for inspection and service for my 2010 Ford Fusion. It took me two more calls to get somebody on the line. I finally did, his name is [xxx], who told me that my front passenger airbag was in recall. He told me that I could still drive my car as long as I did not have anyone in the front seat. I have older children who ride in that seat, 15 years and above. I asked him if the airbag would deploy and he said not to risk it. I asked if I could get a rental car and he said since it was a passenger airbag that I could not because the car was still drivable without any passengers. What"?" information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Takata air bags recall was sent to me in early 2016 regarding my front passenger airbag may explode with metal parts projected toward the passenger's body. I have not been able to have any passengers sit in that seat for going on 3 years, but I had driven passengers in that seat for nearly 6 plus years before knowing of the problem. Very scary to learn of this risk. I'm extremely upset with Ford Motor Corporation for not having a "fix" for my specific automobile after all this time. The people at our local Ford dealer, mike brown Ford have been very good & nice, but they are in a difficult position since they state they O not have what is needed to replace my takata airbag. Plus, when they do have a "fix" the dealer has to make the replacements in a specific government regulated order. My vehicle is 10 plus years old and I can't even trade it in to some other auto manufacturers because they can't resell the vehicle without being able to fix the recall. I feel I'm stuck with a vehicle that is inconvenient, aging and I'm helpless as a Ford customer. I will never purchase another Ford product. I recognize that other auto manufactures were also affected by takata's poor quality and safety standards. It took way too long to notify he public and way too long to correct the takata airbag tragedy. This is the third different recall I'm had on auto, . Ford must be held accountable for their lack of quality and safety. And go out of business if they can not rapidly prove that they can make vehicles that are safe...that means they need to thoroughly research their vendors for products that are used when manufacturing vehicles so they aren't selling death traps to the public. My understanding is Ford and other manufacturers knew about the takata airbag before 2009...before my vehicle was sold to me. I want a good solution to my takata airbag problem now!
