My 201 Ford door handle will not open from the inside. It is like a spring or something has come lose. This is a big concern of mine because to of my 2 friends also have the same issue and they own 2011 Ford Fusions. It just stops working.
There should be a recall on this part. If there is and accident you can not get out of the car. The only way is to reach you hand outside of the window to free yourself.

This should be recalled since i researched and see several complaints on the same issue. Drivers side interior door handle suddenly stopped working. This is a safety risk if there were an incident where the vehicle needed to be exited quickly. Plus will not pass inspection until fixed. Discovered if i use the lock and hadle at same time it will open but still safety issue and inspection issue and very inconvenient.

My door handle won't work and I have discovered that the same part is recalled on other models but not on the 2011. This is a safety issue as I have to crawl out my passenger side door.It's sad that Ford has recalled other YEAR MODELS of the FUSION; however, the 2011 is NOT in the recall. This needs to be recalled because this is a MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE!!!! I sure hope I never get a bind or situation where I need to get out of the car VERY QUICKLY (car won't start & on fire, etc.) because I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR FAST ENOUGH to be safe because I will NOT be able to roll down my driver's side window to get out of it. FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THIS SAFETY ISSUE A.S.A.P!!!!
