My wife was driving vehicle at about 65 mph in morning rush hour traffic. While traveling yellow wrench light came on and vehicle slowed down while traveling in the far left lane (fast lane). Had to safely get the car to side of the road as it coasted while traffic still maintained their normal speed. After removing key and letting vehicle sit for a couple minutes, put key back in ignition and started the vehicle back up. Proceeded with no issues. Called dealership and made an appointment for 7/1/2013. Was told that there were no codes and could not get vehicle to perform our stated issue. Was told it may be the throttle body and that they would order one (we are looking at the minimum a two week wait). And that they would not guarantee that this would fix the problem because there were no codes for them to go off of. It should be noted that our extended service contract does not cover this and that we would be looking at around a $400 repair. If we would of had preferred service plan that it would of been covered (imagine that!). so today my wife calls me again to tell me she is on the side of the highway because the issue happened again! and on top of this issue she now had a flat tire probably due to having to coast the vehicle to the side of the highway. We met up and changed vehicles. I proceeded to drive the vehicle back to work, but never made it due to the vehicle not wanting to operate and yellow wrench coming on along with check engine light. Had vehicle towed back to dealership where they offered a loaner car while we wait for part to arrive with no estimated eta" a huge safety concern that Ford seems to not care about and has a casual "we will get to it, when we get to it" mentality"!?!"

My car keeps stalling, after taking to mechanic it was diagnostic tested with throttle acenture control system that was defective unable to get part from Ford Corp. Was told they are on back order have to wait several weeks more. To many Ford Fusion need part there should be an investigation that leads into recall its not fair to us buyers I have personally called Ford dealers in 5 surrounding states for 4 days no one has the part nor for Canada or Ford Mexico something wrong here.

The car suddenly loses power when driving. There is no control of acceleration. This dangerous if this does it while in traffic. The code on the error is PT1111 and PT1112. Ford has no parts available and on back order. Some one is going to be seriously injured because they will not be able to control their vehicle.

On my way home on a 5 lane road, I was cruising at about 45 mph in fairly heavy traffic and experienced throttle body failure. Without warning, the wrench light came on and I had no throttle response whatsoever and to make matters worse was on an incline which made it even harder to get pulled over as I lost speed quickly. I turned onto a side street, barely avoiding a rear end collision. My car slowed to a crawl and I proceeded to put it into park and turn off the engine. After re-starting the engine, the wrench light was gone and there was no indication that there was anything wrong with the vehicle.

I was driving on the highway with the cruise control set at 65mph. The car jerked and the cruise kicked off and I lost the ability to accelerate. After the dealership service department looked at the car I was told that the throttle body need replaced. However, the throttle body is on national backorder with no release date.

While driving on the freeway, the engine stalled. A wrench symbol came on the dashboard. The car started lurching forward and was nearly hit by two other vehicles from the rear. I was able to stop. I turned off the engine and after a few tries, the car started up again. This has occurred at least another 20 times since then. I've spoken with Ford over the phone repeatedly and explained that there are numerous web sites discussing this as a throttle body problem. But Ford refuses to acknowledge the problem and have told me that they're not even sure if it would be covered under the power train warranty.

6/14/12 car was low on fuel, but not on empty and message indicated 32 miles to E. driving up hill car lost power, did not die, moved very slowly. Able to get off street into parking lot of restaurant. Car seemed to regain power, so tried to pull back on street going down hill, but at edge of lot, I realized the brakes were not responding. I managed to avoid car coming and was able get back into the parking lot as pulling into parking spot now slight surge of speed but still no brakes and hit restaurant's sign. Took car to dealer, could not duplicate problem and blamed it all on low fuel. On 6/20 this time with tank almost full. Had same problem, car suddenly had no power, but did not die. I pulled over and turned it off and waited several minutes. When restarted went about four miles and happened again. Stopped, turned off, restarted and went a little further, but now check engine light on. Fortunately, both times not going 60 miles on the highway and suddenly no power had towed to dealer and this time, replaced the throttle body. Said it was an updated version. If they know there is a problem and have an updated version, why is there no recall? I think this could be very dangerous.
