Takata recall. I contacted (2) Ford dealerships repeatedly since the recall of the airbag. Each time I call the service departments of fiesta Ford in indio, ca., or gosch Ford in hemet, ca. I am told that they will call me when replacement parts are available. I have been trying to have this airbag replaced since 2014 with no cooperation from the Ford dealerships, which at this time the vehicle is not being driven for safety reasons.

Tacata recall ;I just had a reflection on the fact that I've been driving around in a time bomb for nine years. I think of this almost every time I drive it. Not a very nice thought to have. So what's the deal are they ever going to fix my car or you people going to just let it slide. I wan't a new car. I would even take a refund. The stress of this is becoming just too much. I was sold a defective product now I want to exchange it for one that is not defective. That's my problem. Now who is going to do anything about it. Who will even read this?

Takata recall: This situation is real, but Ford has lacked a sense of urgency to fix/correct this serious and potentially fatal lethal problem. July 2016, first Ford notice received. Since then, the same notice received on March 2017 and March 2018. The first two stated "when parts are available" they will contact me by mail, and I am to arrange for repairs with a /local Ford dealer. The March 2018 information states that "Ford is working as quickly as possible to make replacement parts available......" estimated for the spring, 2018. Somehow, that sounds vaguely familiar! other manufacturers have been correcting this problem for some time. Honda has been sending out personnel to directly contact owners. Yet Ford has been unable to do anything but wait ( on what ? ) ! obviously, for some reason, Ford no longer has any regard for safety. They are spending money on new developments ( reported $11 billion on an electric car), but apparently nothing on this know lethal hazard. Why has Ford been allowed to continue for over 2 years without any correction or real attempt to correct this situation, while others have? when will NHTSA step in (or be able to) demand some immediate corrective action by Ford? I have car which I can't trade or sell nor should by driving. Ford did not offer any alternative solutions during my discussions with them.

Takata recall. I received a recall announcement dated July 2016. My local dealer informed me again today 3/14/2018 that the parts are still unavailable. In a letter from December 2017, Ford states that no one is allowed to sit in the first row passenger seat. Please let me know why a remedy is taking so long and when I can expect this repair. This situation needs a solution promptly. Takata recall. It has now been more than 18 months since I received the first notification of this recall. I frequently have 5 people who need to travel in this vehicle, so not using the passenger seat is not an option. Ford needs to install the new airbags, buy back all affected vehicles, or pay for car rentals when front passenger seat is required.
