While driving along my car suddenly acted like it was trying to stall out. pressing the gas pedal did nothing, I had to pull in to a parking lot, and it acted like it was going to completely stall out, but it didn't. I turned the vehicle off, and waited about a minute, and it started right back up again, and seemed fine. I was able to drive home, and the next time I drove it, I had no trouble. A couple of days later it did the exact same thing. Driving along, and suddenly lost all power, and needed to pull over. I turned the car off, and then after a few minutes, I was able to start it, and drive off, like nothing happened. I investigated the issue on the internet and found that Ford had issued a recall for what appeared to be what my car was experiencing. The Throttle body. I did not want to go to the dealer, as I really have had bad experiences with them in the past, so i went and purchased a new one myself and it took me about 15 minutes to do the job. It was worth the $150 it cost me for the new Throttle Body, by being able to avoid dealing at all with a Ford Dealer.

I've never like the Ford after I experienced back in Pinto days but I gave another try in 2012 Ford Fusion and sure enough, it disappoint me again. While I was driving on Interstate 25 in Denver Colorado and all of sudden it just loss all power train without warning. Luckily, I was driving on non-traffic time and I was able to pull over to shoulder side but if I was driving during heavy traffic time it will be an ugly seen and that something I don't want to think about. Definitely, this 2012 Ford Fusion is Lemon and I'll definitely, trade this soon to be Ford Pinto want to be for something other than Ford. Also, definitely and positively qualified for a recall before this vehicle hurt somebody by driving the Ford Fusion and soon to be Ford Pinto II.

I bought my 2012 Ford Fusion S Manual with 42,000 miles on it and it ran like a champ! At 63,612 miles, just over a year of ownership my check engine light came on. When I first started the car everything was working fine. I let the car warm up for about 15-20 mins. After driving about 100 yards, the check engine light came on and my speedometer dropped to zero, the was a significant power loss and my power steering stiffened up. After driving the car for about 10 mins, when I went to down shift and pressed the clutch in, the rpms dropped to about 800, idled for about 2-3 seconds and then died. My speed at the time was around 67mph. Not gonna lie, I panicked a little! I started it back up, but it died another 2 times by time I got the car home.

I started doing some research and found that this is an on-going issue that Ford is having and multiple complains have been filed or documents, yet nothing is being done. I read that if you disconnected the battery for 20 mins and than reconnected it and drove for 10 miles that it would possibly reset the idol and ecu/pcm. It didn't work!!

I can't speak for everyone, but I feel like Ford is getting over on people and letter it be their issue. The only reason I bought a Ford is because my father talked so highly about his Ford trucks and the performance and dependability. At this point after reading as many complaints and issues as I have, I rather roll the car over into another payment and just avoid the future problems!!! Is there any solution to this problem or pending recalls coming???

Ford should have recalled the throttle body!!!! I don't even feel safe to drive my car. I pulled out onto a 4 lane hwy and my car just stalled out. I was thankfully able to get into the median. I shut my car off. I was able to "limp" home (Ford company's words).

I am disappointed in Ford!!!!! And probably won't buy another. I am considering trading this car in!!!! The Ford dealership doesn't even have an appointment available to fix my vehicle for a whole month. That suggests to me that Ford vehicles must have many many issues with the quality of their vehicles.....Very disappointed Ford owner!

I was driving out of my garage onto the street in my neighborhood the auto just jerked and died. as I sat there thinking of what to do I decided to try to start the car and it did start and off I went very shaken as to when and where this would happen again. I called the local Ford dealer where I bought the car and I was told they were very busy and since I had an appointment for the recall of the power steering in a week they would check it out. the instrument cluster panel did show a picture of a wrench as to the [possible problem was the throttle control.
