Fusion S

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,000 miles

I took my fusion in on several ocasions and the ford dealership could not find out why my ac was not getting cold.when they contacted me about the survey i took it back in. I reminded them that my car had more than one issue one being it was blowing hot air and two it would tuen it self on randomly where i was driving. They told it was theac compressor. I had to put myself further in debt by getting a loan to pay for the repairs. 940.05 and just 2 days after i pick it up for that problem its back ( see my other complait) long story short, i dont believe it was my compressor at all. I believe they tried to find quickest fix to make my ac get cold and didnt bother to check the wiring.

Fusion SE 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

Ok again this is happening all the time so no time or mileage instances related.

IF you turn on the fan and try to get air on unless you have either feet or vent clicked on the AC is running all the time.

You have to open the my touch and click on vent or foot level to make it go off.

Also don't like it going on Auto all the time making the fan scream for no reason.

It should just remember the last setting and stay there.

air conditioning runs with switch off -windshield fogging

I first noticed the air conditioning compressor remaining engaged in early August after being in a traffic jam. I parked the car in my garage and came out two hours later and tried it again. The a/c was still on even though the switch was off. Turning off the main climate control switch will disengage the compressor, so I know the problem is electrical, not mechanical. I cannot think of any reason the car would be designed to do this. The problem is not always present, but it is very annoying to have cold air blowing on me when I don't want it, and the fuel mileage is probably lower as a result. But most importantly, the outside of the windshield fogs up with the frosty air blowing on it causing a driving hazard. Even using the windshield wipers only reduces the fogging, not always eliminates it.
