First off I was informed after car was service that there is a new recall in process for the Fusions cooling system but have yet to receive letter before issues with coolant system occurred.
Coolant system constantly lost fluid had to fill twice in 2 weeks with no warning of fluid loss until engine would overheat and coolant temperature reading was hot. Looked under hood after car would not move and fluid was completely empty refilled coolant with cold water 50/50 anti-freeze and gave engine time to cool. When restarted completely unable to move vehicle only to lunge forward to get car back in parking spot after engine locked up. Had to have vehicle towed to dealership. Was informed coolant hose had leak and would need replacement at 67000 miles.
At around 62000 miles I had to have the coolant bypass valve replaced after complaining of car transmission jerking hard on downshift and lunge at take off. No resolution to issues still experienced.

I'm countinously adding coolant, I check it every day and add as needed which hasnt really lost much but keeping it at max level is anoying.

my car just went over 60k miles and all of the sudden began over heating. turns out the that heater hoses near the firewall sprung a leak. not a problem that should happen to a 2 year old car.

Car has a slow coolant leak. Coolant level is slowly dropping and it can be smelled upon opening the hood after the car has warmed up. Ford cannot locate the leak. Added dye to the system. No resolution yet

I JUST HAD MY CAR IN THE SHOP LESS THAN A MONTH BEFORE THIS!!! Freshly serviced and all!!! This by far was the worst experience with my car. Coming off the freeway, my car said it was overheating. It auto slowed and I was stuck under a tunnel right before LAX terminal entrance, where I was supposed to be to pick up my significant other. Luckily I was able to get it onto the side in the 1 of 2 pull offs available in the tunnel and then I had no service so I could not call anyone and waited an hour for a police officer to help me get out so I could get service and call a tow truck. When I got it into the shop, come to find out it was MULTIPLE issues. Trust me I will continue to apply ALL the issues individually. Because the Ford failures continue. But it was confirmed that there was a coolant leak and I had to have the hose etc. replaced. Thank god it was under some surprise warranty, but the adventure was not a welcomed one, when you depend on transportation!
