Recently, I have been having issues with my electrical system/acceleration. I have a hard time getting my max A/C light to stay on and sometimes my radio display is delayed of coming on. Also, sometimes when I start my car, the dinging sounds distorted like my battery is about to die and I have a hard time starting the car. I started to think my battery was going bad but then one day I was driving down the road (in motion), my car was still running and no warning lights displayed, but I lost all acceleration. I had to limp my car to the nearest parking lot as I could not get any gas power. I turned my car off and immediately turned it back on and it worked just fine. Then a couple weeks later it did the same thing. I again had to shut it off, restart, and it worked fine. I have not had that issue since then but it is still worrisome. Luckily I was not put in danger especially since my 6 yo son was with me. I would hate to think of the outcome if this happened on the interstate or somewhere when I could not easily pull over to the side of the road. Is there a recall on this?

On 10/10/2019, my temperature gauged spiked up to high and instantly dropped back down to normal while stopped at a red light, then the car disabled itself, leaving me stranded. Replaced the temp. Sensor and added coolant and was able to restart the car. On 10/30/2019 it happened again while driving on city streets, leaving me stranded for a second time, so I replaced the temp. Sensor again thinking it was defective. On 10/12/2019, it happened two more times, also while driving on city streets, and with doing more research, I found it stemmed from a manufacturing recall #17S09/ NHTSA recall #17V209, (coolant leaks/engine over heating). On 10/14/2019, I called advantage Ford in stuart, fl and was told to bring my car in on 10/23/2019 to have the recalls(which I was never notified of) taken care of. On 10/16/2019, my car started blowing white smoke out of the exhaust and when I called back advantage Ford, they told me to bring it in right away. Since my car was no longer drive-able, I had to have it towed to the dealer. When I spoke to the technician at Ford, he said that they would take care of the recall and replace a hose that was leaking, but that the damage was already done to the engine, probably bad rings (because the coolant leaked causing the engine to overheat gunking up the oil in the engine), and that this was our fault and that I should trade the car in while it still runs! he wasn't sure of what the problem was, nor did he suggest any type of repairs, just that this was our problem. On 10/22/2019, I called Ford customer service and reported the problem. I was given a case # and was told that I would be contacted by a regional customer service manager. On 10/28/2019, we were told by the manager that their Ford mechanics would have to breakdown the engine to see exactly what caused the sludge and if they are at fault or if this is our problem.

I was driving about 45 mph and the driver side door opened on it's own and I can not get it to shut now. When the door opened I grabbed for it and it swung back and smacked my arm and hand and they are swollen bruised and sore. The door ajar indicator light up and the dinging started to alert me the door was open. Went to a near by Ford dealership and they informed me that my vehicle was not listed on the recall. This has been an ongoing issue with the whole electrical system not functioning properly. One evening I put my car in drive to leave a parking garage and it would go in reverse while in drive (reverse camera is on the whole time) and when I put it in drive it would drive in reverse. I had to drive home with my gear in reverse just so I could drive forward.

Initial ignition of the car results in engine stall out post abnormal ignition time. Fusion will display "power run active" then "press brake to start". this will repeat after another ignition attempt and re-show the same messages on the dashboard. After a third ignition attempt the engine does not stall out. The problem is not a sudden onset but initial symptoms of the issue is that the car will stall out after 10 seconds of driving. Initial re-ignition post stall results in normal function of the car without extra issue. However, this event becomes increasingly common over time until it simply stalls out immediately post ignition. Despite multiple trips to a Ford certified professional mechanic, no codes are given by the computer which renders diagnosis of the faulty part or cause of the issue near impossible. Problem may present itself as faulty alternator, battery, or starter. However, even after replacement of any possibly faulty aforementioned parts the problem still persists.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was an electrical failure and the transmission needed to be reset. In addition, the front lower control arms on both sides of the vehicle detached. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 124,973.

My vehicle had a recall on it in 2016 for the door latches not working. The latches were supposedly all replaced at the dealership after the recall. In September of 2018, I opened my back door and tried to close it and it would not latch again. I had to rope my door shut to get it to the dealership and the supposedly put another latch on that door. On Friday March 29 I was driving home from work and my driver side door unlatched on its own again. I tried to shut it as I was driving and had to stop on the side of the highway. I took it to the nearest Ford dealership to me and they told me I would have to pay full price for the recall. The dealership I got the car at is too far so I called them to have it towed there but they would not honor the recall. On the morning of April 1 I spoke with Ford customer care and that there is nothing that they can do. My car is undriveable and Ford will not help with the problem. Ford expects me to pay $600 every 6 months when their recalled parts stopped working or not drive my car at all. My door flung open while I was on the road and that is extremely dangerous as I could have fallen out or hit someone and caused a wreck.I believe it is very dangerous to drive my car in its current condition. My door has to be roped shut so that no one will try to steal my car or something out of my car. The door will not even stay closed due to the wind. The recall may have been done but the problem still remains.

Have not brough to dealer yet, however all my lights lit up and have not turned of so far. Advancetrac, blindspot, rear camera assist, ABS, etc.. basically all my assist have come on. Since they have come on my steering has been tough, as if the electrical assist was disabled because its combined with the ABS system. According to a youtube video posted online, the problem is a corroded or malfunctioning wire in the ABS driver (or passenger?) side of the wheel well. "issue was my driver front tire... it's the wire harness that goes back to the cpu from the ABS speed sensor. This should be a recall in my opinion as a lot of people are having this issue which causes electrical power steering assist to turn off making it harder to turn the steering wheel" quoted from the youtube video. Where the wires connect or something along that line. It would be really appreciated if Ford looked into this and made a recall. This is not safe considering it disables some (or all) of your steering capabilities. More detail: All lights have lit up before during the first snow-fall (but shortly after turned off). I purchased the car with 70,000 miles on it, in July of 18'. it is now March of 19' and we've had warm days up until today, when we had snow again here in central New York. Now the problem arises again. Please recall this issue.

The vehicle has an electrical glitch and when attempting to park the car it will show as park but will actually slip into neutral and roll forward or back if in a slight hill. Also an manufacturing error is causing the car to abruptly stop while on driving. The rpms will increase by itself and then suddenly fall to 0 and the car will not be able to move. All the electrical components will still be on I.e. radio, heat, lights but the car will not move. It's no warning as to when it will just suddenly stop so it's extremely unsafe if driving on a highway.

Driver seat I have a Ford Fusion 2013 that I purchased brand new and have already had many issues (some recalls and some not). I am currently having issues with my driver seat motor that moves seat Ford and back for leg room. The side of the seat closest to middle console (right side) seems stuck and will not move forward. This results in a diagonally angled seat. I am not a tall person, therefore this issues makes me unable to drive my car. I have researched this issue and see several others have had this same issue. We brought it into the Ford dealership where we purchased the car and the cost for said issue is over $2,000. Seems like if multiple people are having this issue then there was clearly something wrong from the beginning. Also- I see there is another seat recall from 2014 (front seat backrest replacement) to which the motor and seat electrical connectors are removed/replaced/or adjusted. Leads me to think this may be an issues associated with this recall. I am dishing out the cost of this repair..I do not have any other option right now. But I am greatly disappointed with this issues and Ford denying responsibility for this issues even though several Ford customers have had the same issue. Sadly, this makes me distrust purchasing a Ford vehicle again.

My car has been skipping and hesitation with power train or transmission while driving whenever it wants. It’'s nothing specific to make that happen. Last week back power windows quit working. Now....started car in drive, steering was locked. Drove back and forth, tried different gears, tried restarting, it finally started by turning key over. Came home, parked in driveway, can’T get steering to unlock at all now! I am over an hour away from home, so whenever it decides to turn, I can head home. But after reading these reviews, do I dare" does Ford want us owners to die, or the innocent we may hit" either way I would sue because they cannot deny knowing there’'s a problem!

2013 Ford Fusion radio still has sound, but screen is black, can't change stations, won't turn off, even after car is turned off and door opens. Battery died, car wouldn't start. Was able to jump start battery, but same thing happened 2 days later. Now battery is completely dead. Had this happened to another household vehicle even after having a new battery installed, and it turned out to be caused by a defective radio.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the auto battery saver mode kept activating without warning, which caused a drastic reduction in speed while driving. When the vehicle was turned off, it failed to restart because the diagnostic trouble code indicator was flashing. The contact planned to schedule a diagnostic appointment with ray skillman Ford (1250 us-31, greenwood, in 46143, (317) 884-7164). Aaa replaced the battery, but the failure recurred months later. The manufacturer was notified, provided a case number, and was to decide if the matter would be handled by them or the dealer. If not, the contact would be responsible for having the vehicle diagnosed and repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA action number: PE13003 (steering). The VIN and failure mileage were not available.
