The vehicle has an electrical glitch and when attempting to park the car it will show as park but will actually slip into neutral and roll forward or back if in a slight hill. Also an manufacturing error is causing the car to abruptly stop while on driving. The rpms will increase by itself and then suddenly fall to 0 and the car will not be able to move. All the electrical components will still be on I.e. radio, heat, lights but the car will not move. It's no warning as to when it will just suddenly stop so it's extremely unsafe if driving on a highway.

At this time I saw flames coming out from under the hood. I called 911. By the time of arrival of the fire dept the car was fully involved in flames.

On January 3rd 2019 around 5am, I saw a signal saying "engine coolant over temperature" and another one regarding the steering wheel. I then noticed that my steering wheel was locked but I managed to park on the side of the highway. A vehicle behind me notified me that there was a fire. My vehicle caught on fire less than 24 hours after leaving Ford service department for an oil change. Records also show that my vehicle was part of a recall regarding the engine coolant, that may lead to fire. I received that recall letter days after my car broke down due to an engine coolant related issue and towed my vehicle to the nearest repair shop in 2017. After reception of that recall letter, I also made sure to take my vehicle to Ford services, with the invoice of the repair that had just been done. They took my car to their shop and reassured me that the recall issue was resolved by the recent repair and filed for a reimbursement check from Ford, that I have received. As of today, when I put my VIN number to verify the recall, it says "incomplete". I filed a claim through Ford on January 4th 2019, a day after the fire and has yet to hear from them.

My vehicle has stalled while driving and is hard to start after fueling with gas. After taking it to Ford for recalls in October of 2018 and brought the issue up and they wanted to charge me for diagnostic. After taking my car to my mechanic shop for oil change and to look into the issue of stalling, they made me aware of the purge balance needing replaced and that would solve the issue with the vehicle stalling. Apparently, Ford knew this defect since 2013 and paid for replacement if a complaint was filed. Now into 2019, 93,000 miles and no warranty, Ford doesn't want to assist in paying for the replacement. I don't feel I should be responsible for paying for the repair. It is very dangerous to have the car stall in the road and around busy traffic.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. When the contact pulled into the parking lot at her job, the vehicle started smoking. The vehicle caught fire under the hood and exploded with parts landing into the street and onto other parked vehicles. There were no injuries. The police department stated that the contact could retrieve the incident report after christmas. The burned out vehicle planned to be towed away by the contact's finance company. The dealer was not called. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not covered under a warranty since it had over 56,000 miles. The manufacturer suggested the contact check with her insurance company. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 98,000.

I was driving down the road and, while parked at a stoplight, noticed smoke billowing out from underneath my hood. I pulled over and had my car towed to a mechanic. My mechanic said there was a problem with fluids leaking from my engine and that it was highly dangerous, routinely resulting in fires. My mechanic directed me to a recall 12S41 that covers 2013 Ford Fusion and said it was a match. However, Ford has denied my claim citing my car wasn't covered with the recall. My car almost caught fire (my mechanic thinks it might have briefly ignited) and I would like the problem fixed by Ford under this recall.

Well I noticed problems with my car maybe a month after I got the car took it back to the dealer ship they didnt see any problems but im having transmission problems, problems with the steering, I have had a coolant problem fixed already. The shocks went out on the care within less than a year. Having problems with the fueling system. Also having problems with the left light system. They have only to recalls with my VIN number of things that I had already gotten fixed. So im really concerned about the issues that are going on with my car and feel that it really need to be addressed. Every thing that has happend is while the car is in motion.

Two years after that with only 38,000 miles same problem catalytic converted needed to be replaced again. The car has less than 50,000 miles and 3 times catalytic converter needed replaced.
