This will sound like a broken record from other complaints....
Was driving on highway at 55 when suddenly dash flashed and went completely blank while at same time lost all acceleration and acceleration response in car. Dash came back on with "Check Service Manual" message...orange wrench, and airbag lights remained on. Car would only accelerate up to 20mph ish. Unfortunately, this was during rush hour and road was under construction with no shoulder or any way to get out of the way. i was lucky because I started out with zero traffic...they were at light...but they caught me quickly. (Sorry for those beeping and swerving to avoid me...and thanks to the dump truck for slamming on brakes). Finally pulled over and limped home. (I can only imagine what COULD have happened if my wife was driving on freeway in Chicago OR new driver daughter was driving car).
Got home. Stopped car and took daughters car to work. Came home, started car and no issue and drove to Ford dealer.
Now the fun begins. While at work, found all the exact same complaints on the internet (and this site) that this is a known issue with throttle body. However, it seems Sorens Ford in Brookfield, WI won't replace the throttle body because they can't reproduce the issue after driving it a couple times. So right now I plan to pick it up tonight, pay $100 for them to tell me anyone driving this car is in danger, and then take it home. I won't let anyone else drive my car now...not safe. I do plan on buying part off Amazon and following Youtube video to replace because I have read it is easy. Doesnt make sense to wait for a serious accident to sue Ford into action and repayment. But I do plan to complain to everyone that will listen, including NTSB and others. This is dangerous. But we have to wait for multiple fatalities before Ford takes action.

It is like a vapor lock. Finally died one time, but then will start and run fine until the next time it happens
Update from Aug 1, 2015: The problem found causing this was a low pressure fuel sensor not working. No problem since dealer replaced it.

Traveling on interstate at 55 mph, vehicle on cruise control. Speed limit increased to 60mph, so I began adjusting cruise control speed via thumb button on steering wheel column. After three thumb "clicks" to 58mph, vehicle lurched and lost power and began immediately decelerating, the same way it had on Dec 11 2013, when it was allegedly "fixed" on December 18th, 2013. Again, the Power Train light and airbag light came on. I pulled to the right berm and shut off engine.
Over the next 37 minutes, I attempted to start vehicle every 5-6 minutes. On six different attempts, the vehicle revved as accelerator applied but the engine never "caught" or turned over, it would die as soon as the accelerator pedal released. On 7th attempt, the vehicle turned over, and I was able to proceed to the next exit. Since the car seemed to be running normally, I risked it and got the vehicle home, knowing that a tow at 8pm on Christmas Eve would be expensive and timely. The Power Train light and airbag light remained on for the 8 mile trip home. The next day, vehicle operated "normally" with no power train light or airbag light. SECOND OCCURRENCE.

Traveling home from work at 30mph, the vehicle lurched and immediately lost power - I was able to drive 15-20 mph max speed the 3 miles home but only with the "pedal to the medal" - the vehicle barely accelerated after slowing or stopping. The Power Train (orange wrench) light and airbag light came on. As the vehicle was driven into garage, the dashboard lighting went off suddenly, but vehicle accelerated with effort into garage. Four hours later at 10pm, I started vehicle, and no warning lights came on the dash and the vehicle operated "normally." The next morning, I called the dealership. They advised if the light did not come on this morning, then they would not be able to diagnose problem. Vehicle drove normally to work with no warning lights. Dealership said problem was a low voltage meter on the accelerator and they "fixed" it the following week.
HOWEVER, this occurred again on 12-24-2013. Sounds more like a throttle body issue.

Biggest piece of junk ever. This is my daughter's car and it's more problems than my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 147K miles.
You name it, it has been repaired or recalled. Dealerships are crooks in the service department. Now there's issues with the acceleration.
I will never own another Ford. I don't care if it's given to me brand new off the lot. They ARE JUNK.
