I bought my Fusion 6 months ago, and here lately I have been experiencing stalling issues. It tends to happen when the vehicle has been running for a while. I will sit in my daughter's school parking lot to wait for her to get out when all of a sudden the engine shudders and stalls. And other times it happens when driving in the parking lot at low speed, again it shudders and dies. We have changed a couple parts(high fuel pressure sensor, fuel sending unit, and the high pressure fuel pump) nothing seems to be helping the issue.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V209000 (engine and engine cooling). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Byerly Ford (4041 dixie hwy, louisville, ky) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

My vehicle has been stalling out after fueling, as well as in heavy traffic, and at red lights. I took it to the shop, and the diagnostics indicating is was "low fuel pressure" reading, so they replaced the fuel pump. Two days later, I filled up with gas and it stalled out while in motion at 40 miles an hour, and within 15 minutes, it stalled again at the red light. I can feel the car beginning to stall, so I put it in park, so I can give it gas... sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. there have been many instances where I'm in the intersection, at a median, or in the middle of heavy traffic when the car will stall out... this is very concerning, and dangerous... my life as well as others could be in danger due to a faulty system.

Bad management valve part #dg9Z90279D needs to be replaced. Told it was on back order for the next 2-3 months. Over 750 pending orders. This is a known problem with some vehicles being recalled for repair. This vehicle isn't on the recall list but in my opinion should be because of the safety concerns this has the potential for. This faulty valve is cause pressure to build up in the fuel tank that could possible cause an explosion or fire. Waiting 2-3 months is not acceptable. Also, no warning to myself was provided from the 2 dealerships that diagnosed my vehicle and that I talked to to get this part. I only found out by doing extensive research. Problem still isn't fixed, waiting on parts.

Engine stalls while driving with no warning may increase the risk of a crash. After it stalls you can put it in park, apply break and it will restart. This is not a good thing to happen on a highway. No fault code or service lights. It always does this after it has set for about an hour after running and then will stall about the time you get on the road. ( 200 feet )

This 2013 Ford Fusion has begun randomly sputtering and then stalling when accelerating (the vehicle has 95,000 miles on it). You can put it in park and restart it just fine, but then may do it again in 30 second or never again the rest of the trip. It does not appear to be an issue if the car is cold or has been sitting a long time. It tends to appear once you stop for 10-20 minutes and get back in the vehicle - but even then, can be hit and miss. Lately in this scenario it's been stalling 2 to 3 times before running fine. After doing some research, this appears to be a recognized Ford issue with the throttle body. While Ford appears to recognize this issue and has extended the warranty on some 2013 Ford Fusion (under customer satisfaction program 13N03), I called my local dealer and they indicated that my vehicle was not included in that program. The cost of the repair was quoted at $875 plus tax of which only $120 was labor - this makes the part $755. I can't believe that Ford is not addressing this across the entire line. I have already been in multiple places where I have had traffic coming at me or behind me when the vehicle fails. In fact, the other day it died pulling out of a store in front of two oncoming lanes of traffic - fortunately both vehicles coming directly at my drivers side were able to get their vehicles stopped before T-boning me. Please require Ford to expand its program.

My 2013 Ford Fusion has a problem every time I refuel it. 1) it does not turn on when I finished pumping gas, I have to keep trying to turn it on and or step on gas peddle for it to turn on, also I have to have my ac off cause I get this horrible smell and at one point saw fumes coming out from my air vents which I then suddenly turn off the ac but my vehicle had also turned off by it self. 2) it has turned off twice while I drive off from the gas station, on the safe side it turned off before I even made it to the street/road. I then had a recall on it and took it for service for something involving the door handles at that time I reported my problem to a Ford mechanic/personnel and the gentle men advised me he will not be replacing the problem since it was not on the recall and it would have to be payed from my pocket, which I dont have the budget for it, and 3) while I was driving home from work about a 15 mile drive from neighboring city, my vehicle had lost power and started slowing down at which point I realized it had turned off on the highway at speed of 50-60mphs while my shift was in drive and my key was turned in the on position. This was at night time since I work the afternoon I then slowed down to the shoulder of the highway and turned it back on with out a problem, the following day it did not do the same thing and as of 12/19/2017, I have seen report of the Ford Explorer with similarities of the smell but did not find of the Ford Fusion which I would like to report this issue.

I own a 2013 Ford Fusion with 94,000 miles on it. I was driving to work on a one lane road and the gas pedal became unresponsive. There was no indication that anything was wrong prior to the loss of acceleration control. I had no control over acceleration/throttle; however, power remained on in the vehicle. The check engine light came on and then a wrench light that said check manual. I was traveling 65mph and had to pull over. I turned the car off and then on again and it started up. I had it towed to the nearest repair shop. The repair shop performed a fuel system service and cleared the check engine and check manual lights. Four days later as I was driving to work it happened again. This time I had to pull over 3 times and once where I had to turn off the car and turn back on in the one lane road as there was no pull off area. After the last time I restarted the car, I had a reduced throttle but managed to make it about 2 miles to work (at this point the speed is reduced to 45mph). I had the car towed to the same repair shop. The repair shop had their master mechanic look at the vehicle when it was determined that the throttle body needed to be replaced. This has solved the problem. I did some research and found that Ford issued a consumer satisfaction program 13N03. This was to include certain 2009 through 2013 model year Fusion, Milan, escape and mariner vehicles. I contacted Ford and was told based on the VIN number that my vehicle is not included in the consumer satisfaction program 13N03. My concern is that this vehicle had the exact same problem as those with the vins in the consumer satisfaction program. This could have resulted in an accident with no prior warning other than the sudden loss of acceleration/throttle.

Car will stall when it is it is low RPM. It is more likely to stall after I have fueled up my car from it being low on calls. I can see the car shuddering and then drop the RPM very low. It has died when I have been in traffic before when I'm stopped at a light. It has died when I was leaving for work and backing out of my driveway. I noticed the issue of the car shuddering when I'm driving at low RPM and even when I'm coasting down a hill. I have went to the dealership several times for this issue and they have never eliminated the problem. It may have got a little better where it doesn't die as much but I definitely have to pay close attention when I just get fuel otherwise I'm afraid my call will stall at a stoplight. I called Ford's customer service today to see if there was anything related to my issue as a recall but there was not. I asked the lady if she has heard of this issue and she said that it's a fairly common problem she hears about the Fusion and other Ford models "shuddering". most recently I have had my battery replaced. Previously I had warranty work done in 2016 for the fuel pressure sensor to be replaced that cost $100 deducdible. Neither of these repairs made any significant difference. I also experience that at low RPM there is hesitation when accelerating. There was other people I found online that have these issues and they suggested the "electronic throttle body" fixed their issue and they were covered by a extended warranty customer satisfaction program, but apparently my VIN is not in that list.

I bought a 2013 Fusion used last year I have had the car die going 70mph on the freeway several times and I have had the door fly open goinv 70 mph on the freeway and then wont close. Last week my car wouldnt go under 80 mph white smoke barreling from the exaust with two days previous a low coolant warning coolant was added. Car smelt like diesel fuel burning. Went thru a tank of gas in 30 min and the car now sits at Ford since the 5th of August waiting for tech to look at it. I already know its is a situation that Ford needs to recall after reading all these complaint. I could have died and my kids im so upset

Car goes into limp mode and wont accelerate. Sometimes cleared with engine restart. Then it got worse and throttle would not accelerate engine at all. Car was towed to Ford dealership. Bad throttle body diagnosed. Over $800 to fix. I see a lot of complaints online about Ford throttle bodies on Fusion and many are warrantied under Ford csp 13N03, but apparently my Ford isn't covered. Not sure why.

I went to a gas in town and filled up my car and only got 223 to a full tank and then it slowly creeped up as I was driving in town to 289. But I normally get 330-350 to a full tank. But when I first got it and the dealership filled it up, I got over 400 to a full tank.

Gas is leaking from the underside of the vehicle. First noticed a gas smell from the air vents so I initially thought a leaking injector, however when I looked under the car it was clearly leaking gas from somewhere. I did some minor research and saw that this year has several recalls for leaking fuel systems however I can't find a recall for this under this particular VIN.

I was driving my vehicle for about 5 minutes when the engine overheating signal came on. It said "reduced engine power" and my vehicle started driving extremely slow. I pulled over, checked the coolant and everything looked fine. I waited 2 hours and turned the car on. The light was no longer on. However, I still informed the Ford dealership about the issue while it was under warranty. They said that they did not find anything wrong with the vehicle. Another time I drove about an hour and my engine overheating light came on again. I checked the coolant and it was at a correct level. The car stalled out and would not accelerate. I had aaa tow it to my home. I contacted the Ford dealership again and they had it towed in. They repaired the cooling system, fuel injector pressure and coolant bypass valve solenoid. They also replaced the flp sensor. I was charged $702.28. It is truly saddening how the car had to be broken down in order for them to fix it. But when it was under warranty they didn't touch it. Now there's a recall on the cooling system, 16S09. Every day I smell some sort of fuel under my hood, fuming up my garage and coming through my vehicle ac vents when it's on. It makes me feel like my car is going to catch on fire because the smell is so strong. My check engine light came on too with cylinder issues. Coolant leaked into the cylinder head. I would like to be reimbursed for the engine repairs and for my vehicle to be fixed free of charge.

My vehichle has had the check engine light go on and off numerous times in the last six months, and smelled a funny smell coming through the vents. I get regular maintenance, have had the codes read as well as diagnostic test performed. The most I have been told is that there was a P144C code which is something to do with the fuel system wrong. Now when driving the vehicle began to stall. I took my car in to Ford they told me that I needed 3000 dollars in work done and have yet to address the 17S09 recall even upon my concerns. I was treated unfairly at my local Ford and took my car to another shop. Now am being told that my car has been overheating and that my cylinder head gasket needs replaced. I have been in contact with Ford and they wont even help, until they send a letter to me next week. My car is already in the shop and the recall needs to be adressed. I need help.

While driving at low speed (less than 10mph) the car begins to run very rough, RPM drops, and when pressing the accelerator, there is no power, and the car then dies. It can be restarted, but it's a bit harder than normal, and then it runs. Twice happened in parking lots, but once pulling into traffic from a parking lot, nearly causing an accident. Dealership has charged $190 only to tell me they can find nothing wrong. Serious safety issue. Ford case #cas11900027

On local road, vehichle hesitates when I step on the gas. When I get to a stop light it shudders then stalls. This occurs frequently for the past two weeks as of this entry date.my vehicle has under 53K miles and the dealer says the part and fix is not under warranty. Its called a lo pressure gas sensor I believe. If its attached to the gas tank then how could it not be under warranty with under 60K miles standard coverage.is this standard for all dealerships with warranty coverage or lack there of for this part.
