problem #1

Jan 092013

Fusion Titanium AWD 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,100 miles

Took the car back to the dealer, they couldn't duplicate the problem. The problem is scary, this is a brand new car. Only seems to happen backing up my steep driveway. Sometimes you can feel the clutch pop in and out up to 3 times. Other times the rpms go car is hardly moving, then it SLAMS into gear.

Update from Mar 30, 2017: Transmission was rebuilt twice more to correct the problem, but it came back for yet another time. First time 2002 miles, second 34233 miles, third 34498.

Ford finally agreed to put in a new transmission at 36000 miles and it is okay for now. We will see how long it lasts.
