Fusion ES 1.6L l4

It scares me I keep thinking the transmission is going to fall out it is so hard. The last time it made a loud noise.

Fusion SE 1.6L

The shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear is horrendous, it almost gives you whiplash from such a hard shift. It feels as if the car will never shift, constantly reving higher until 5 or 6k then shift. Does not matter if it is warm or cold it constantly does it.

Fusion SE 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

I UNFORTUNATLY PURCHASED A FORD FUSION LEMON. Not only has it had to get a new fuel pump at less than 60k miles, I had to replace the transmission at a cost of $3000.00, at only 80,000 miles. Of course my warranty expired at 60k The Ford Dealership in WHEATLAND, WY quoted me $6,500.00. When I talked to my local mechanic he asked if the Ford garage was plating it in GOLD. Yes, and they didn't offer to kiss me either. The Dealer was going to charge me $350.00 just to tow the car. I protested and he said we are "charging you what we get charged." When I complained the tow price miraculously decreased by $110.00 I had to rent a truck and trailer to tow the car back to Colorado so I wouldn't be held hostage by the Hiway ROBBER Gar=FORD GARAGE in WHEATLAND, WY Previously I had scheduled my car to have one of the many recalls installed a week prior to my trip. Only to be called a few days before the appointment to have someone call and say they don't have the parts. The ARAPAHOE FORD DEALERSHIP IN CO had previously ordered parts for a vehicle that we didn't even own anymore, for another recall before this instance You can't get an appointment to have the recalls installed because there are SO MANY Recalls, and they don't have the parts. REALLy ??? This car currently has 3 outstanding recalls in addition to the 2 previous ones, This car has been nothing but trouble since we drove it off the lot. I can't even trade it in for half of what I owe because of all the recalls. First I will NEVER EVER PURCHASE A FORD AGAIN. Second I want everyone to know what a POS this Year fusion is. I highly doubt anyone from ford even cars as all they have tried to do is rip me off

Fusion SE 4 cyls

  • Automatic transmission
  • 76,600 miles

The rough shifting of my car only happens when my car has sat for a long period of time (5 hours or so) and once I crank the car up and let it warm up for about 2-3 minutes and put it into gear, there is a big jerk like the transmission is loose or something. While driving the car will jerk as well when I'm at about 40 mph and trying to speed up a little. I took my car to the service center where I bought the vehicle from and the mechanic was unable to tell me anything because the check engine light was not on and never came on. I don't know what really else to do but take it to a Ford dealership. This is really annoying to me knowing because I know its something wrong with my vehicle and I can't seem to find out what it is.

Fusion S 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 47,000 miles

The transmission either shifts really hard (worse in stop and go traffic) or at times makes a clunk sound. It even drags the gear out, meaning when it should shift, it does not shift. Shifts into a passing gear at highway speeds by barely pressing the accelerator.

The transmission sucks in this car and when I took it to my dealership, they said there was nothing wrong with it.

Fusion SE 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,000 miles

By 9,000 miles, the transmission was intermittently shifting roughly around 30-35 mph. It would buck and finally get into the next gear. I complained to the dealer and they said there are no issues with the transmission when they ran diagnostics. I am living with it but will complain again. They said that since I already complained about it and was documented that if it should happen again, it would be covered under warranty.

I had a 2010 Fusion before this that did something similar. They kept re-programming because Ford had new fixes. I am hoping they come up with a fix.

Fusion SE 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

Om so when you start the car either hot or cold if you dont let the car run for at least a minute even when teh RPS is at its lowest the car bangs into reverse way to hard. No soft roll into reverse just bang wham like your popping the clutch.

SO now wait till the car thinks a buit then reverse is not an issue.

Fusion SE 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31 miles

I purchased this vehicle back in July and the day I got it the problem started. After the vehicles reaches operating temperature it has a harsh downshift into 1st gear, basically the car just jerks there for 2 seconds. I have brought in to get fixed 2 times already and nothing is working. This car needs a transmission. P0731 is the code that keeps coming up and its for 1st gear incorrect ratio, and it says either the solenoid(in the valve body) or internal transmission failure. They changed the valve body on my car at 2500km that's right 2500km 3 weeks old. Apparently fords techline is reluctante to authorise a new transmission in my vehicle. I HATE this car.

Fusion SE 2.0L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

I have the vehicle in many times, and same old story dealing with the Ford rep and the dealer. we know there is a problem, but no code, so we don't know what to do. So I just live with the problem and they won't admit they can't fix it with out a code. what happened to a real diagnosis by a mechanic and a fix.

After many phone calls and trips to the dealer I now own a 2013 Subaru legacy premium AWD and I get 35 to 37 mpg on the highway and they really wanted my business
