My husband was driving our 2013 Ford Fusion (with 99,000 miles) down the road. He saw a "Transmission is not in park" warning. Then the car turned itself off!
He brought it to a stop and started it again and drove home. Luckily he was on a country lane with good visibility. But were he around a bend or on a freeway, this problem could kill someone.
We don't dare drive it now.
I will have it towed to the Ford dealer for inspection.
