Replaced tires back in Oct 2021; tire shop reported to me that the lug nuts were severely stripped and needed to be replaced; if I ever had a flat, I wouldn-€™t be able to get them off and that the individual installing them had to hammer most of them loose. Replaced the lug nuts. Ironically, the following day (as is my luck), i ended up with a flat. Glad I had replaced them.

While the vehicle was at Ford of branford (301 E main St, branford, ct) for a tire rotation, the contact was informed that the lug nuts swelled up and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to dowling Ford (1011 S main St, cheshire, ct) where it was confirmed that the lug nuts had swelled and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

It was extremely difficult for the mechanic to remove the lug nuts; therefore, all twenty lug nuts were replaced. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
