My 2015 Ford Fusion SE (1.5L EcoBoost) is suffering from serious engine issues that match Ford's known defect described in TSB 20-2100 — including coolant loss, white smoke from the exhaust, and engine misfire (P0302). These are the exact symptoms of coolant intrusion into the cylinder as outlined in the bulletin and in the active class action lawsuit currently being litigated. am an international student with limited income and no access to federal financial aid or legal employment. I have already spent over $1,600 earlier this year on an AC compressor repair, and this engine failure was completely unexpected and beyond my control. Despite the high mileage, I am simply asking Ford to acknowledge this known manufacturing defect and offer fair goodwill assistance for the long block replacement.

Coolant leaked into engine and now the engine needs to be replaced. Dealer quoted $8300. This seems to be a wider problem. I bought my car new, serviced it as needed, always took it in for recall repairs, but I was never advised about the potential engine issues. Of course, it's out of warranty. I'm very disappointed in Ford.

I bought my used 2015 Ford Fusion mileage was 86,415 from a local dealership for $9,200.00. 37 days later service engine light turned on, took it back to dealer repair replaced a spark plug. 16 days later light turned on again. scheduled appointment, light turned off on its own 3 days later, thought it may have been a temporary glitch in computer. 33 days later the 3 strike rule applies here! light back on, diagnosis I need to replace the engine for $9,785.51. To replace the engine cost more than the car is worth. I feel as there was a recall on the very same problem that my car experienced but the recall expired and my VIN# wasn't on it anyway.
I asked for my money to be refunded I was offered $2000.00 or a replacement vehicle that had 128,000 miles on it. I feel that the dealership knew of this issue from the onset and sold me a lemon. To add insult to injury they sent me a recall notice on a shift cable where it is possible that if you put this car in park, it could still move if not corrected. My question to Ford Dealership is what should I worry about first the engine blowing while I'm driving or the car moving when the cable in the shifter snaps? I was told that I signed an as is clause and there was nothing I could do.
