Driving normally on the highway and the engine temp spiked in less that 10 seconds from normal operation temperature to being topped out. Car lost power. Stopped the vehicle immediately and had the thermostat replaced. The car operated normally for about 2 months then the issue repeated itself with no warning. Stopped the car immediately and had it towed to another shop. This time the head gasket blew and lost compression in 2 of the 4 cylinders. Ford has done nothing to resolve the issue. This is a mess. We are still making payments and have to have full coverage due to the lien on the title.
Our only resort is to replace the engine! Not acceptable!

My car had antifreeze in the coolant bottle because it was a check. I went to drive my car it overheated so I went back in and added coolant to my bottle. Someone told me it was leaking at work so I bought another bottle so I can make it home, the car overheated on the interstate and I had to get it towed because it would never start back up. I had a mechanic look at the car and it was leaking oil also. I had a mechanic to come and look to see if it could be fixed and it could not.
