The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle accelerated independently. While attempting to park the vehicle, the vehicle accelerated over the parking block. The bumper was detached. The engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated there was a slow leak and referred her to the dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.

My car has been losing power and randomly stalling for a while now. Today as I was driving it was happening more and then suddenly my brake pedal became hard as a rock, and the hill assist warning came up. It keeps stalling and will not remain running for longer than 2-3 minutes of being on. This almost caused me to ram several cars due to not being able to stop quickly enough. No lights came on other than check engine and it has not been inspected as this has only happened today. However the stalling of the car has been going on for about 3 months and I-€™ve been very pregnant and unable to have it looked at. The loss of power in the car happens and sometimes downshift-€™s extremely hard causing a loud jerk noise from the underside of the vehicle. Once turned off and turned back on it goes right back to normal until it decides to do it again. It can happen a couple of times or it can happen 100 times within a 5 mile period and I never know when it-€™s going to happen until it-€™s actually doing it. Extremely dangerous and I-€™ve seen several 2015 owners posting about issues of the 2015 brake system/bumper etc. I-€™ve seen recall talk but this site shows no recalls, please get this issue recalled asap!

As I was driving, it felt as if my car had turned off or had no fuel, but no engine lights came on and i had fuel in my tank. Also all my electrical stuff stayed on, only lost power on the accelerator. My safety and others safety was put at risk because there were no warning signs i just had no "Go power" and no one around me knew my car had no power which could lead to an accident, serious injury or death; if on highway traveling at high speeds and it randomly dies. I took my car to a mechanic and they stated everything was perfectly fine they did a full diagnostic and the computer didn't show any errors in operation. This happened 3 times in one day at random times, i could put the car in park and re-start and it ran fine. however i did have to hold the key forward longer for the engine to turn over.

Traveling on highway at 70 mph with sudden immediate inability to maintain speed (loss of power/acceleration). Vehicle not responsive to acceleration request until below 45 mph and behaves erratically (just stops responding and car slows). No check engine light and car otherwise runs normally. Accompanying behaviors: Brake lights are constantly illuminated (stuck on), even when not braking and also when car is turned off and key removed. Intermittently when car is stopped, message "hill start assist not available" is shown. Took car into Ford dealership who diagnosed the problem and "found brake switch engagement bushing missing from brake pedal" and offered to replace the "brake pedal assembly" at a cost of $1,062.35. Found several forums complaining of the same exact behaviors and noting that the oem "brake pedal stop pad" had broken into pieces. I also remembered vacuuming up some plastic pieces from the driver front floor area not realizing where they had come from. The "brake pedal stop pad" itself which would cost less than $5 is not offered by Ford, so people are finding alternatives which may be unsafe and include: "brake pedal stop pad" not designed specifically for this vehicle, zip ties, and even magnets! other Ford models are affected as well. Some example forum links below. This should be a recall. While driving this vehicle the engine misfires decrease in power and completely stops acceleration. It also uses a great deal of fuel. The coolant constantly leaks out and the engine overheats every few minutes. The car also overheats when sitting in a parked position. While driving on the freeway the car slowed to 25mph. We were very close to being involved in an accident.

2015 Ford Fusion- after sitting for short periods of time the vehicle will not turn on until multiple attempts. The battery is good. No jump is required. Vehicle will go from no power on the first attempted start to managing to power on within a couple of minutes. While in drive, the vehicle will not switch gears appropriately. The engine will rev, pull, and then switch gears very roughly. This has been looked at by a local mechanic. The mechanic could not find any problems even though it has been a consistent occurrence. Mechanic stated that this is common in newer Ford.

I literally just bought this car and within 15 min of driving off the lot it stalled multiple times in the drive thru and then again when pulling onto the road and oncoming traffic almost hit us. Terrifying.

Depress the accelerator and often the vehicle has no power. Sputters and then the engine revs high and takes off. Often during driving the RPM gauge will spike, loss of power occurs and then the vehicle jerks and power is restored. Does not matter the length of time the vehicle is driven, these incidents happen every day, every time the vehicle is driven. Just purchased the vehicle on 2-12-2018, used with 46xxx miles on it.

The vehicle displayed a "wrench" light and the vehicle suffered diminished performance while driving. This happened sporadically both when stationary and driving for two weeks. Each time I took it to the dealer the "wrench" was not on and they could not capture a "code." Finally, one morning the light was on and I was able to take it directly to the dealer and they identified the electronic throttle body as defective.

Adaptive cruise control the acc on my truck malfunctions unexpectedly and frequently when passing large trucks at highway speed. When it malfunctions, it causes collision warning systems to activate including unexpected and hard braking. I have taken the truck to the dealership where I purchased it twice for this problem. Once before and once after the recall. There was not change the first time and after the second time the problem was reduced in severity and frequency but continues to happen. My service department is willing to look at it again, but says there is nothing to do that they have not already done. The unexpected braking not only is a surprise to the driver, but it also may cause vehicles following to react inappropriately. This danger is exaggerated because it frequently happens on the interstate while passing large trucks.
