The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. While reversing out of the driveway, the steering wheel seized and the power steering assist fault, service requested warning indicator illuminated. The contact had the vehicle towed to (rub Ford Inc, 219 Liberty St, gardner, il 60424, (818)-237-2901) where it was diagnosed that the steering rack needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that an investigation would be performed. The failure mileage was 37,810.
