I bought the vehicle used with an extended warranty thankfully. I did not even put 2,000 miles on it until it was shifting vary hard into 2nd and 3rd gear, as well as downshift vary harshly in 2nd and 3rd gear. Transmission place said basically needs another transmission. well, after they put another one in it and updated the ECU and all that and the software update for the transmission, well its doing the same thing again. I am sure it needs an actual rebuild, not replaced and parts fixed. I've read so many people having the same problems. This is my first ford and its a nice car but man, I shouldn't have to put 2 plus transmission into a car with 113,000 miles either. I'm kind of lost on what to do and I was told file complaints and the more people do that with this issue it may have to have a factory recall. well I hope it will. Thank you

My daughter called saying her wrench light was on and something wasn't right. I told to her when she gets home, turn it off and see if it will reset the light. It does go out. Later driving it, the same thing happened again with the wrench and check engine light on - and now it won't go over 40mph. So I have her limp it to the Ford dealership, they say will try to look at it the next day but didn't until Friday. I was told the transmission was out of it. I how is that possible? They said they didn't know. So we pay them 140 dollars to tell us that, went out and ask my daughter to start the car let see what it was doing, it was started but I noticed it turned over slow, ask her how long it had been turning over slow, she didn't know and turned it off. So I got in and tried to start it and it was dead. So I didn't think anything else about.

I got thinking to myself wondering if a battery would effect the transmission, so I googled it and sure enough a BATTERY can do that to a transmission. So it was too late then, the next morning I get my battery tester and ODBII code reader and head the Ford dealership. I get there and can't get in the with FOB or key code on the door, ask Ford tech and he didn't know, so I googled it and got the cover removed to get to the door lock, open the hood put my battery tester on the battery even before I put a load on the battery it's showing BAD, so put a load on it and it goes to 0 on the tester. So I take the battery out (a mistake on my part) and because I was gone about 45 minutes, the computer lost everything. I get back put the battery in everything starts working, except being gone that long computer had relearn everything again. I found out later there is a memory saver to hold things. So we limp the car to another shop to look at it on Monday. I pull the code off the code PO751, shift solenoid.

Update from Dec 1, 2019: So they tell me that fluid is burnt and want to flush it, and they do that, they say the shift solenoid is bad, so they replace it, they tell me last week the transmission is gone, they can get a used for 2200 dollars. So that's where are right now.

Update from Feb 17, 2022: Ended up going with used transmission 2600 dollars later with everything, working great now. Very important to keep up on the battery since there is no way to know it goes bad. I wished they would put a temperature senor in the transmission so you could tell when it was getting HOT. I have one my F-150.

Purchased my Ford Fusion in Jan of 2017 with 12,5xx miles as a CPO. Took the car in for 1-2 hard shift, 2-3 hard shift, Reverse to drive lag. Taken to 2 dealers prior to 25k miles and was told nothing wrong with it good to go. Finally decide to take it in again at 47k and told need new transmission due to internal concerns. This is ridiculous but not unexpected. NUMEROUS reports of having trans issues with the 6f35 and many new transmissions. Had I waited 13k more miles this would have been my problem. Very disappointed. 2 new wheel bearings, 1 new cv axle, rear shocks and this all before 50k miles. Luckily I've got this all solved before warranty was up. Its a bummer, really like this car but no excuse for as many issues as I've had.
