When pushing the start button, the car struggles to start. The battery was checked and no problems were found. Sometimes the car does not detect when the drivers seatbelt is not on while driving or sitting still. The beeping sounds the car typically makes when backing, alerting the driver is a completely different sound now. Other beeping noises are also different sounds and pitches. The engine light turns on and off. Faint scratching noise under the hood. Windows will go down by themselves.

The vehicle was stationary in my garage. I was attempting to leave for work and the vehicle wouldn't start. I checked the fluids and checked battery cable and finally the vehicle started with hesitation. Warning lights 'sterring asist fault' 'low battery feature' an 'service advance trac' appeared. Could not turned the sterring wheel at all to back out of garage. Battery is 1year old should not be low.

When the steering wheel is turned all the way to either side, multiple alarm sounds go off in the vehicle including loss of power steering, loss of reverse sensors, loss of hill assist and loss of stability control. This occurs anytime the wheel is fully turned, either stationary or moving. This occurred 2 years ago in the same vehicle and they replaced the computer, after not finding any other issue. Now it is occurring again, same symptoms, same cause. A video can easily be sent if requested.

I was driving upon making a left hand turn in the city the steering wheel became very difficult to turn, the stability control light and traction lights all lit up on the dashboard, basically felt like the power steering gave out. I'm not sure the cause of this or how it can be resolved. I also noticed everytime I refuel the vehicle and start it up the rpms will drop as if the vehicle is going to shut off and becomes hesitant for a few mins while parked at the pump and then it idles back normal.

Throttle body/fuel rail pressure sensor failure. I believe that there was a recall on this part for the earlier Fusion models, but not the 2016 models, and that recall should be updated. While either driving under 40mph or sitting idle, the car's engine would shut off while the electrics would remain on. This can cause other vehicles to crash into me and cause serious injury or worse.

While driving the car on both the highway and on city streets the steering locked and the power assist quit. The mil traction control symbol lit and the warning center said it was disabled. The mil steering assist control symbol lit and the warning center said it was disabled. In both driving instances the steering wheel was being turned from moderate (interstate highway speed) turning to sharp turning (city street speed). In both instances I was able to avoid hitting close, surrounding vehicles and in the case of the city occurrence, pedestrians. In both instances I pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and shut off the engine and accessories. I waited about a minute and performed an engine re-start. The mil's were not lit and the power steering assist returned. In both instances the same condition appeared about 20 minutes later, and a engine stop/re-start had to be performed. I have included photos of the dashboard information center. This is a 2016 Fusion with 65,000 miles and I believe there is an electrical problem with the steering rack.

I drive a 2016 Ford Fusion SE AWD with the 2.0L ecoboost/gtdi motor. I was at a gas station refueling my vehicle, with the 87 octane fuel the oem calls for on the vehicle. I was about 1/4 tank before refueling and I filled my tank until full. Upon starting my car, I always turn the key right before ignition and wait for the fuel pumps to draw gas to the motor, then start it. Started seemingly fine, however, while I was resetting my mileage trip counters, I noticed, and felt my RPM's drop down into the 300-400 area and my motor shook my car. I kind of was surprised as my car had never done this, so I figured maybe it was just an engine stutter. But then upon waiting a few more seconds, it did it again, 4 more times and felt like my motor was ready to stall out. I was still parked/stationary beside a gas pump so I put the car in drive to go park myself in an actual spot so I wasn't in the way of other vehicles. I kept my car running in park to see if the RPM's would drop again, but upon waiting five minutes, it did not. The RPM's were a bit wobbly though on the tachometer but did not significantly drop. No lights on the dash came on. I wasn't taking any chances, I immediately called the dealership to have my car serviced. Turns out, my canister purge valve was stuck in the open position. Sounds all too familiar, accounting that Ford issued a recall for the exact same issue with many Ford Focus models, with the exact same motor. This is a serious issue that can result in crash/injury or even death. No light came on for me and I only caught it because I was superstitious enough to bring it in regardless. This should be investigated, it is literally the same issue and I'm baffled as to how his hasn't been made into a recall by now. I know I'm not the only one who has faced this issue, so please, I ask for this to be investigated and deemed a recall as it's a big issue.

While driving on the highway to work my steering suddenly locked up and jerked and then I got multiple alerts and lost power steering. The alerts were "service advancetrac" "steering assist fault service required" "hill assist not working" "service battery charging system" and there were two traction control lights. After work the traction control lights and alerts were still on and I did not have power steering on the drive home.

On Friday I was backing into a parking space and put the gear shift in park. The gear was in park but the car was still reversing! I immediately applied the emergency brake to avoid reversing down the hill into the tree at the bottom.I then turned the car off to see if that will assist but was not able to restart the vehicle. The dashboard continuously flashed transmission not in park! I contacted Ford which stated there was a recall on the car and to bring it in. I called Ford towing for a tow truck at 11 am and was not picked up until 7 pm by the time I reached the dealer the service department was closed. The next morning the mechanic reached out to me and stated he was going to be able to fix the issue and I would have to pay for it! which none of the problems stemming from the car was from something I did I do not feel as though I should pay especially when I received a recall letter stating the expenses will be covered when the parts become available. I spoke with someone from Ford and she told me to not pay anything to the dealer because the parts have not been approved. Yes they gave me a loner for the time being but it frustrates me that I have to deal with this and keep getting the run around on my vehicle. I am fed up with Ford at this point they should give me a new car since they do not even have an estimate as to when the part will become available!

Ford Fusion recall: Driving on the way home from the store and my check engine light came on along with a wrench symbol and a note on my dash to see manual while I was making a right turn I to my apartment complex. I took it to auto zone and they started it was the throttle body and it needed to be replaced, I took it to Ford after where they said it was covered and to bring it in on the 6th of Feb to have it fix. But then was told after they confirmed it was the throttle body that it was not covered. I only had the car 2 years and its problem after problem which nothing is covered under the warranty that I'm paying for.

Vehicle in motion. After 40mph, service advancetrac lights on dash. ABS is activated even though on dry ground. Brake pedal becomes hard and drops about 50%. stopping distance dramatically increased. Pedal pulsates under my foot. Traction control turned off. Hill assist turned off. This continues to happen every time I drive the car since mid November, 2018. The defective part is the tone ring, which is part of the wheel bearing and is very expensive to repair. Ford will do nothing about it even though there is no problem at all with the tone ring. The electrical problem is the harness that the wheel speed sensor plugs into on the left front wheel. The yellow wire has a hole in it and corrodes. Ford is also aware of this problem but refuses to do anything about it.

I was driving on the highway and the main screen in the center of the dashboard turned off and had the message 'turning off system to save battery'. this was not an accurate projection by the car system being that I just recently installed a brand new battery a couple of days prior. As the car system continued to shut down, the alert of 'system charging service now' showed up on the dash. Following that message the power steering completely shut down. Shortly there after, the entire electrical system shut down in my car. Lights, steering, dashboard, electronic seats, doors, gear shift, everything! this all happened in the span of 1 minute or so on a highway at 11pm at night. I almost got into an inescapable acccident trying to find somewhere to get the car off the highway. Shortly there after the engine also cut off due to not getting any power from the car system. This is very unfortunate because this car is only 2 years old and I bought the car brand new off the lot.

When I started the car multiple alarms sounded and the display showed the following errors: Steering assist fault service required, service advancetrac, pre-collission assist not available, hill start assist not available. The car has 13514.1 miles on the odometer at the time of this occurrence. The car had been driven less than 10 miles earlier in the day but had been parked with the engine off for nearly 8 hours. I did not attempt to drive the vehicle due to the difficult, if not impossible, chore of turning the steering wheel. I shut the vehicle off and restarted it several times attempting to see if the faults would clear on their own. No luck.
