Ford sent me a recall notice that states that this is a problem (safety recall notice 18S29/ NHTSA recall 18V471). I had my car towed to the nearest Ford dealership (bob davidson Ford). The next morning the dealership service department called and I would have to pay $576 to repair the faulty part that is subject to the recall. That makes absolutely no sense. First, why should I have to pay to have an unsafe part put in my car until the correct part is available and why should I pay for any repair of a part that is subject to a safety recall?
