The car started HARD SHIFTING and HESITATING eventually it shifted so hard it made a loud clunk. It took 5-8 days of this for it to give me a useful code for a solenoid A stuck open, incorrect gear ratio 1 & 2, output speed incorrect.
The real problem was the forward piston started to break apart and leak eventually tearing apart. The computer will think that solenoid A is stuck open because it cant pressurize the forward piston to engage the forward clutch and move. The loud clunk noise was the forward piston slamming so hard it broke 2 internal pieces of the housing off that, and secure the snap ring that holds the WHOLE clutch assembly in place.
This is a common problem with these 6F35 transmissions and is severely under reported. I found about 6 other people on facebook who experience no forward or reverse issue with their ford fusion. There's at least one popular youtuber who seen this numerous times.
Update from Aug 13, 2022: Mileage is 113k not 213k.
