Ford Fusion lug nuts - I could not remove them and had my car towed to mechanic. He had to hammer them off. We ordered new lug nuts 50.00$ - it took 2 hours to remove and mechanics get $100.00 an hour. I went to a dealer near me and was told I removed the tires too many times that damaged the cover on the nuts - WFT. I didn't know there was a tire removal limit. So ford said go f*** yourself. I think when some one gets killed trying to change a tire on the side of a busy road then maybe they will do something - but I doubt it.

I have a Ford Fusion 2016 SE 2.0 Turbo with only 57,000 mi on it. For the second time... as of just visiting Dealership yesterday for oil change and tire rotation.. I have now been told for the second time ( having first time been a little over a year ago ) that I need my lug nuts replaced again.... this time not under warranty as was first.
I have had cars/vans 20 years or older with original lug nuts with no problems. Since being told that again and can't believe so soon again they need replacing. I came home to find out that there has been even law suits that Ford has fought. Some crazy Judge dismissing it... Apparently he didn't own one.
There should be an immediate recall with the replacements being made differently so they don't disfigure / swell etc so they can be removed. In my findings ... even some of the dealerships have complained as they end up being the middle man. Have loved the car... but this is just ridiculous.

Second Ford vehicle of mine that has faulty lug nuts that have expanded and separated. Ford is not willing to do anything about it (classic Ford resolution). Ford does not take care of its customers.

So I bought my 2016 Ford fusion at the dealer, it's only ever been touched by said dealer and at 45,000 miles I go to get new tires. Leave to go eat somewhere and dealer calls saying all lug nuts are swollen and cracking you need to replace all of them. 200.00 for a problem of poor quality and defective lug nuts. I have owned over 10 vehicles in my 47yrs and have never replaced a single lug nut, let alone all of them!!! Screw you Ford!!

I took my car to the auto shop for a simple brake fluid flush. After getting my car up on the jack they called me and informed me about the lug nut issue. Because they had already started the process, they were not able to return my car that day. They had to order lug nuts and I did not get my car back until two days later.
