Fusion 2.0L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4 miles

Purchased this vehicle with factory GPS, an $800 option. I was told that there were map updates available to download. I noticed that the maps are at least two years out of date and attempted to update them. THERE ARE NO CURRENT UPDATES FOR THIS Vehicle. They say they are coming but in the mean time the GPS is pretty much useless as I cannot rely on to be accurate. Nobody can give me a date as to when the update will be available.

Fusion Sport V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

BUYER BEWARE: Right from the start, with issues continuing, and worsening: navigation: Never did "auto upset", even though set to do so; set for fastest route, yet every time I chose to go a different route, its faster (perhaps because it does not connect, and actually does not know); states traffic when there is none, no traffic reported with traffic; randomly instructs to turn off road, go around corner, only to return to same road; instructs to take southbound (for ex) exit, only to take me around the corner to go north, rather than to get off northbound exit; whole system (with sync) randomly shuts down and restarts after about 20 seconds, requiring resetting (which for directions you cannot do while driving if not already stored, new input directions not stored if shutdown occurs); no sound (no voice nor tone). Levittown ny ford "service" reported: "all working properly".

Update from May 8, 2018: Navigation, never worked properly. Now it makes up traffic and tries to take me off original route. I know better than listen to it, and see yet again, no traffic. Never has updated itself, even with auto update. Every time change, requires manual change. Basically, it is a map, and a not so updated one. It cannot even work properly as a clock.

Update from Jun 10, 2018: My ford navigation now makes up it's own traffic report, and tries to take me off my route because of it. I have repeatedly ignored it, only to find no traffic. It is useless. It has never connected for updates, clock reset, real traffic, etc. BUTT ford repeatedly tells me "it's working the way it's suppose to". Ford has lost my trust.
