Fusion SE V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,015 miles

My last Ford Fusion was a 2009 and I loved it. I just didn't think that at 37,000 miles I’d be putting that amount of money in a car. I bought it used and have had it less than a year. I’m really considering trading it in for something else.

Fusion Platinum

  • CVT transmission
  • 4,000 miles

Began a 3-year lease on a 2017 Fusion Energi Hybrid just before Christmas, 2016 and have generally been very impressed with the vehicle until I got in it and it was completely dead. Fortunately, the car was sitting in my garage and I had another vehicle available to get me where I needed to be. I had been noticing unusual messages on the SYNC3 system stating the system was shutting down to save power. I did not expect that was a precursor to losing ALL power though. The vehicle is plugged into a 120V power outlet, using the Level 1 charger provided. The charge ring however does not illuminate, which is very concerning, but the power station indicates the vehicle is charging. Many forums suggest doing some diagnostics with the MYFordMobile app, but that stopped working several thousand miles ago. Since the car broke down on a Saturday afternoon and roadside assistance was too busy to take my call, I need to wait until Monday to find out how to get this resolved.

Update from Apr 12, 2017: Dealer not able to find a draw on the 12V battery and is chalking the situation up to a bad unit. They are replacing the 12V and sending me on my way. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence that the problem has been resolved, but I don't have any options at this point. I spoke with another dealership certified in electric vehicle repair and they told me they have seen at least two such vehicles come in with the same issue. They also replaced the 12V and sent them on their way.

Fusion S 2.5L I4 Ivct

  • Automatic transmission
  • 250 miles

Just purchased this Fusion and have 250 miles on it. This morning the complete electrical system is shutdown. Nothing was left on, used the emergency key to get inside and no response to anything. Called dealership and they want to have Ford Roadside Assistance haul it in. "Yeah" not a good way to start on a new car.
