Fusion SE AWD 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 900 miles

Leased as a courtesy car which I never would do but this only had 500 miles on it and the payment was $50 cheaper than a new fusion lease. Transmission was a little funny from day one but I wasn’t positive. After about 10 days I got off the free way and at two red lights the car simply wouldn’t go when the light turned green and I put my foot on the accelerator. Then after a second or two the entire car jerked violently and it went into gar and drove. The next day the car shuttered when trying to accelerate from a stop sign. Then started making a whining noise especially when going slower and in lower gears. Drove it to dealer ship the next day and almost got into a wreck because suddenly now the car was losing power and the tachometer was all over the place revving, shuttering, etc.

This is completely unacceptable for a car that has under 1000 miles on it. Still waiting to hear from the dealer as it’s only been a couple days but even with a new trans the entire car seems tainted to me. My significant other has the dreaded focus as well but it’s paid off so we are living with the terrible trans in that car till the thing dies.

Fool me twice shame on me as my last fusion had the engine go at 17k miles and need complete replacement. This will be my last Ford product. The sad thing is so many newer model year vehicles have loads of issues even Honda and Toyota.
