The charger cable that came with the car is under recall but if you’ve purchased an extra cable they aren’t covering those even though it’s the same exact model that has issues. I’ve confirmed this with both dealer and the Ford Recall Information Line and they also confirmed that the cord that I purchased can in fact catch fire. Seems strange that they would recall the one cable not knowing what cable actually came with the car originally because they are the same exact model charger cables.
