Bought 2015 Fusion Energi from local Ford dealership as a CPO- Certified Pre Owned with 44k miles
Noticed this 2015 model engine sounds much louder "whinning" than my 2014 Fusion Energi that i turned in at end of lease ( 49k miles )
Brought to my local Ford dealer and they said the transmission was bad TSB 17-0039 - differential bearing torn apart and replaced under warranty for no charge. However the engine still revs high especially on hwy over 60 MPH
Seems like the hybrid motor and battery pack are not the problem but the gas engine is source of loud noise.
Since i owned both a 2014 and a 2015 energi i know what the proper sound should be.
Not sure how previous owner drove the car, but cant see how that would matter?
any thoughts is appreciated. All in all the Fusion Energi is a great car !!
