I was driving home from work on the freeway and all of a sudden the center display went blank. It was alarming I got no warning signal or nothing and I rely on my one car. Anyway I exited the freeway and stopped the car, you see my last car caught fire because the indicator burned out, so I'm afraid next time I will be trapped in the car so I take my car to the dealership for service religiously.

When I called the dealership and they told me my earliest appointment was in 10 days you can imagine how I felt. I'm not a car person so I wasn't sure I should even drive the car, I waited to see if there was anything that would happen, I figured out how to open the hood to make sure I didn't see fire or smoke. I started the car and the display came on flashed 3 screens and went right back off. I hadn't shout the door because I didn't want to be trapped so I went out and looked under the open hood to see if there were any kind of flashes, sparks. I walked around the car to check my lights and reluctance drove the 15 remaining mile home with the display flashing on and off, and the radio going on and off.

I got no where with the dealer so the next day I borrowed a car and went to the dealership surely they had other reparable service center I could take my car to without worrying about voiding my warranty and my extended warranty for a loyal Ford customer.

The young man finally told me I could take it to any Ford dealership without worry. Yes I'm and older citizen, but is just seems to me like these Manufacturing companies as just putting out these expensive cars with defects and existing problems without consideration for the lives that rely on them. I called the next closet dealer and they can get me in 4 days I count that as reasonable.

I truly feel that after these dealerships get our money we are just screwed. I guess my gripe is with the Ford Company and their dealership not being able to just give me an alternative when I expressed how worried, concern and need I have for my car on the phone I was on the phone. I'm sure that none of them could take of 7 working days without pay for a car problem. Surly when someone tell you they are afraid to drive their car you could be more helpful. Now I wish I bought a Honda.
