Something seems to be draining the 12 Volt battery. Car has been in for repair since June and they cannot solve the problem.

Fusion Energi Platinum

  • CVT transmission
  • 4,600 miles

Went to drive car this afternoon It was dead, as in not a single light or anything on. Had tow truck jump it, drove it to dealer, replaced battery. Now it works, but light on transmission knob is on. I anticipate it will fail again soon. Other notes seem to indicate this is software bug.

Fusion Energi Platnum

  • CVT transmission
  • 21,500 miles

Dead battery for the seventh time (had to jump start the car) Back to the dealership for the third time. Dealership wanted the car not started so flatbed delivered the car to dealership and dealership couldn't get the car off of the flatbed without jump starting it. Dealership says that we are driving on plug in electric too much. Dealer can't find any problems. Stopped plugging the car in a month ago. Just got the car back from dealership 5 days ago on Thursday for sync3 reset, drove the car home 30 miles. Drove the car two days later for about 6 miles on Saturday. Now it is Wednesday and another completely dead battery no lights of any type come on. Called ford motor company and placed a complaint.

Update from Feb 2, 2019: Well just picked up the car today. I was told that Even though everything looked turned off, the ACM module was not shutting down. I was told there is more than one module in the ACM. I'm going to drive the car in hybrid mode and not plug it in for the next month. We will see.

Update from Apr 1, 2019: 4-1-2019 I hope i don't jinks this car being April 1st.. Car is running as it should since last report. It appears that the problem was the ACM module not shutting down. Note that we have not been plugging in the car up to this point.. Wanted to test one thing at a time.
