Second report of 3 for rodent damage from new rodent attracting materials being used in Ford's electrical system. See August 2018 complaint for details - very frustrating and costly! Need to sell the car, or Ford - please find a fix.

Third time in 8 months that I have had rodent damage to wiring. The first two times cost close to $900! I have done everything including putting an electronic rodent repellent and rope lights in the engine, and every imaginable chemical repellent. I have 3 other vehicles that are never touched by the rodent which I now know is a squirrel who jumped out at me when I opened the hood (have you ever seen The movie Christmas Vacation?)
Seriously this is out of control and I learned through my research that Ford is using new environmentally friendly insulation and other materials that may be attracting rodents! I want to learn more about this and see if Ford is willing to fix the issue or I will have to sell the car. My husbands new Ram truck and my old SAAB never get touched.
I am not going to move and buy a garage so it’s either find a solution or sell and never buy a Ford again!
