While coming off of an exit my right front passenger door flew open and I was almost in an accident because it frightened me as another car behind me had to brake as well to avoid hitting me from the back. I read up on this car and there is information statin the there are problems with the door lock/latches where you think your door is lock and it is not. Now I try yo close it, the door will not lock at all. I did not see a recall on my VIN but I not have to contact Ford because there is information all over the internet stating that is a know fact to happen on the 2013 and I believe the 2014 models. I also have an issue where the sync with my Ford does not work correctly. I am unable to use touchscreen because when I due I get an error message pops up on the screen saying something about the usb and power source and does not allow me to do anything else. I literally have to turn off and restart my screen.

"Ford door latch recall" - having issues with door latches for my Ford Fusion hybrid that were replaced during a recall (by another dealer). Issues have started since the recall, with excessive vibration of the doors, door ajar indicator coming on during motion and latest rear passenger door not closing, which have been brought up with my current dealer I have been working (with Ford thru) my current dealer for a number of months and finally had the front passenger door latch changed a couple of months back because of excessive door vibration and door ajar indicator coming on couple of weeks back the right rear door flew open during a turn, but I ignored it thinking the door was not shut properly, stopped the car safely at the side of the road and had the door closed. Last weekend rear right passenger door failed to close and has remained "un-closable" since, I had to tie door in with seatbelts and limp the car back home. Went to the dealer today and was told by them that door latch needs to be replaced and the cost of parts and labor will not be covered as the recall was past warranty (1 year). Called Ford customer support and was told the same. I now have concerns of the similar issues occurring on the other doors and the safety of the vehicle as a whole.

Door latches were recalled and replaced March 2016, driver side door latch then failed beginning of April 2017 (one year and one week after they were replaced). It appears Ford's fix to the original recall was not a good one. Because it was more than one year past the replacement, I was made to pay for this.

The driver side door latch doesn't work correctly. I have to pull on the door and it take me about 5 minute for the door to lock. I'm having to go through the passenger side door to get in my car. The door has open slightly when I am driving. My car is not part of the recall of 2015 but the part to fix is going on 3 weeks in back order.

Passenger rear door latch would not properly interlock, meaning door wouldn't stay shut. This happened in a stationary position when I opened the door to get a passenger out then I went to close the door, having the door bounce back to me. To note: A recent recall was administered due to faulty latches and I had it replaced at Ford in Feb 2016... 8 months later issue resurfaced, not cool.

Door latch recall. Last month (July 2016) the front passenger door of my 2013 Ford Fusion flew open while we were driving. It would not close. We later learned Ford has recalled hundreds of thousands of vehicles, including 2013 Ford Fusion for this exact problem. We were told our VIN was not included in the recall. We had no option but to pay the nearly $500 cots of replacing the faulty door latch. Now, only one month later (August 2016), the rear driver side door of my car flew open and would not close, again due to a faulty door latch. My car is not even 3 years old, and I have spent nearly $1000 to replace parts that should last the life of the car. It is infuriating that this is a known problem, and Ford is doing nothing to help. I now have the option of spending an additional $1000 or risk having the other two door latches fail as well. The most disheartening aspect is the tremendous safety issue this problem creates, which makes my "choice" not really a choice at all. For the safety of my family or others who may be riding in my car, I simply must pay to have the other door latches replaced. I have made numerous calls to Ford, and they just refer me back to the dealership for assistance. The dealership in turn sends me back to Ford. I have been going back and forth with neither party showing any interest in helping to resolve this problem.

The rear passenger door latch failed and the door swung open while the car was in movement. The door still does not close and the latch will need to be replaced. NHTSA action number EA15002 addressed this exact issue on similar vehicles, but my particular vehicle was not included by Ford on the recall that resulted from that action.

The door latch on my rear passenger door failed. The door will not latch and stay closed. There is a current recall on my car for this issue. In the recall Ford says that all latches must be replaced. Obviously I have defective parts in my car. The dealership tells me that they will only replace the broken part and not the other three doors because they don't have enough parts. That is not my problem. My problem is being able to travel down the freeway safely and not worry that my doors are going to fly open. It's unethical that Ford can know there is a safety issue and not address it in a timely manner. I wonder if anyone in the Ford family is driving a car with defective door latches. I bet not.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid, the contact stated that the over head passenger side handle broke after using it for support to get out of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician verified the failure and replaced the handle; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 12,626 and the current mileage was 19,000.
