Last few days we've experienced mysterious loss of power issues: being locked out of car, car not starting for a few minutes and electrical system restarting after turning on the ignition but today the orange wrench light came on while getting on the highway. Plan on taking to the dealer tomorrow. Disappointed to learn from other reviews that dealer charges to diagnose an apparent engine problem on a car that has with less 100K miles. It's our first Ford and was considering a second but now rethinking the brand.
Update from Apr 20, 2017: Got the car back from dealer after 3 days and they said the electrical system was experiencing low voltage and recommended changing the battery. I had the battery tested from two local mechanics before I got the orange wrench light who said the battery was okay, and I was somewhat skeptical of the diagnosis. But it's been a few weeks now with the new battery and all is working well.

This is my wife's car, she is a loan Notary, does to people homes to sign loan docs. Her 2013 Ford Fusion died while she was changing freeways, it was sudden loss of power, still running but no throttle response. It scared her. We called AAA and had it towed to the dealer. They had it for a week, said they couldn't find anything wrong with it, my wife told them she is not picking it up until fixed, they replaced some module, we picked it up. Approximately 6 days later the same thing happened, she was following the Waze app and it told her to get off the freeway (accident ahead) she did and right when she slowed down the car did the same thing sudden loss of power. She sat for a bit tried to restart same thing, had it towed this time to another Ford dealer. They have us it for a month, driven it 320 miles and say cannot duplicate the issue. They said come pick up the car. I called Ford and they opened a case. I said what will this do, it will bring it to the attn on the service mgr. I said what if he says too bad nothing we can do, she said, well not much you can do. So I said I am stuck with a non driveable car? I don't know what to tell you sir. So I started thinking lawsuit, I went on line and I have found 40 or 50 complaints of this exact thing. In fact Ford has us like 27,000 complaints. How is this not a recall. And I am surprised there has not been a death. I am not sure what my next move is.

Driving on 95 in FL. Coolant light came on. I called Ford Roadside service and told them coolant levels were fine but light came on. Guy said it is probably just a sensor not to worry. About 5 miles later car died. Ford dealership looked over the car and said it was not a coolant problem it was a transmission problem. Still waiting to hear how bad this is going to be.
