I recently brought my "2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid" in for routine maintenance. While rotating the tires, I was told that the lug nuts have expanded and needed replacement. Sounded unusual but I had them replaced at a cost of $152.00 ( I was not charged for labor as they were rotating tires anyway) I recently read that there is a pending lawsuit over this issue as it involves a " 2 piece" lug nut which causes the problem. I would like to be re-reimbursed for the expense.
I had the similar problem on my Dodge pick-up last year when I was having new tires put on at COSTCO. In this instance, I had to take the vehicle back from COSTCO, purchase new lug nuts and install them, and then return to COSTCO to have the new tires mounted.
