Several times since taking delivery of our 2017 Fusion hybrid, I've had issues with wiper arms/blades stuttering across windshield, usually when in mist mode or wiper delay, and with lite rain/drizzle. Although I believe the cause can be attributed to an issue with the junction of the wiper arm to the windshield, wherein there must be an ill-fitting piece that doesn't always engage with its companion part, causing slipping, the dealer seems to poo-poo this idea, preferring to bullshit their way thru new blades ( NOT the answer) or the old Rainex solution, also NOT the answer! If the passenger blade works perfectly, then the driver blade could be misaligned, or incorrectly sized, as at the left-most position, it clacks against the windshield trim and occasionally stutters there also. The most recent issue is for the driver arm to stop vertically, oscillate a few times, like the gears are trying to align, then slips down a couple inches toward horizontal, and start the little dance all over. Or it will simply stop and require my using wsw fluid function to restart the wiper. My Dealer, Sarasota Ford, is about to embark on its third attempt to cure the issue. Hopefully they have the presence of mind to include someone from Ford engineering to find the solution! THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN THE DRIVER CAN'T HAVE UNOBSTRUCTED, CLEAR VIEWS OF THE HIGHWAY!! Although I have photos and videos of the issue, I am too stupid to figure out how to get them to the forum!!
