While Driving on I-79 on Friday April 12th around 3pm my Ford Maverick would not accelerate when I pushed the gas pedal. I attempted to pass a tanker truck and as I pushed the gas pedal nothing happened. No acceleration whatsoever. As I looked down at the instrument panel I do not recall if any dashboard light lit up. I quickly pulled over on to the left hand shoulder of the interstate as I had an SUV barreling down on me from behind during the rain storm. I turned the engine off and waited about a minute before restarting the engine. It worked fine after that. I had it on the interstate since then and had no issues with it. I am on a Ford Maverick message board and many other owners have had similar problems.

All of a sudden, in the rain while driving home, suddenly the (Drive) Shift knob light was flashing, warnings started flashing, hill start assist not available, service vehicle soon, pre collision assist not available, service advance Trac, and parking brake applied automatically and total loss of power-??. I almost got into an accident in the rain and traffic because the people driving behind me were going fast and my truck just suddenly lost power and I had those cars coming from behind that had to swerve out of my way. I managed to get it pulled off to a side street and turned it off and back on and still had no power and all the lights/warnings were still on. When you press on the gas, it wouldn-??t go-??. No throttle response. Could not go. Almost in an accident and it could have been worse if this happened with more traffic.

I took my 2023 Ford Maverick to the Dealership- Larry H Miller Lakewood CO. to get outstanding recalls address on [XXX]. Recalls handled were for Reprogram powertrain control module, turn signal outage detection failure, and software calibration update. I had no issues or concerns with my new vehicles performance or safety up to that point. [XXX] I was driving with my 2 children in the truck on the highway. Going 75 miles/hour uphill near the junction of [XXX] and [XXX] the truck suddenly started reporting errors on the digital display and dropped into limp mode leaving me stuck between 25-35 mph max speed on a busy highway causing a dangerous and unpredictable situation. I was able to exit the highway and navigate side roads to my dealership not far. They cleared the error and reset and were unable to replicate the issue at that time. On [XXX] the issue replicated. Heading south on [XXX] at 75 mph on the highway with my children in the truck, the power train module error once again appeared, check engine light came on and the digital display cycled through a series of errors the same as it had the prior time. Vehicle dropped to limp mode with a max speed of 35 on a busy highway. It once again caused a dangerous and hazardous experience trying to exit the highway at the next available opportunity. On the exit the truck shut off completely. Obstructing traffic. I was able to restart and navigate to a safe spot where I was able to contact Ford Roadside assist and get my truck towed to my same dealership once again. My truck has been at the dealership for 3 weeks now but on [XXX] they reported there were some new updates that might address the issue. They ran those updates and so far have been unable to replicate the problem. There is no solid confirmation from Ford that these updates will resolve the unsafe issue from happening again. We are uncertain at this point as to whether utilizing the vehicle will once again jeopardize our safety driving it. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

On [XXX] the headlights on my 23 ford maverick xlt ecoboost decided to completely go out and stop working for a couple seconds when driving past a cop which resulted in him pulling me over. Other issues i have had are the electronic parking brake failing after pressing it almost 8 times and the car lurching forward where it almost hit a wall if i didn't hit the brake again. The radio sometimes is completely unresponsive and needs a hard reset. At a stoplight the other day it was raining, once green the truck slammed into gear and the rpm jumped sky high to 5000 rpm, the traction control light didn't go off either and sounded like something metal was grinding and the hood completely flexed. All of this is recorded on dashcam which i have saved, reach out to me if you want the videos. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Was traveling at around 60 mph and multiple lights and warnings came up on the dash -??powertrain malfunction-?? and -??service advancetrac-??. Power was reduced to a limp mode and I was forced to pull over on the highway. This happened within a week of having multiple software recalls carried out by a ford mobile technician. I was able to reset the codes with an obd scanner and haven-??t had an issue since but I have read about this happening to multiple people with the same hybrid vehicle after having these recalls done.

[XXX] car malfunctioned in same ways it has been before. Car was going 76 on the highway, no cruise control, when a message about the gear shifting pops up and the accelerator stops working. Car begins to slow, and we pull over onto side of the highway. After getting down to about 40 parking break pops on and messages begin flashing through on the display saying: AdvanceTrac Off, Collision Assist Off, Parking Break On, Service System Soon, and all the warning lights such as check engine and slippery surface come on as well. Turned car off and waiting 5 minutes, then got back on highway. Car repeated this exact same process again after driving 3 more minutes going 76 with no cruise control. Here is a link to a video taken the first time this happened on this day: [XXX] Car had been taken to have this exact issue repaired the previous week and held over night on [XXX]. This is the second time that the car has been taken to be repaired for this issue. The first time I was told it is a computer melt down. The second I was told that the recalls that they fixed they did not fix entirely, and that it should be fine now. While attempting to turn left at an intersection, my hybrid vehicle suddenly became unresponsive. The dashboard lit up with several warnings and it would only idle using its electric motor. It would then accelerate to top electric-only speed despite me not applying my foot to the accelerator. My safety and others was put at risk because I was turning left at a busy intersection. My local dealer (from whom I purchased the vehicle) cleared the errors and then drove several hundred miles without any errors and without replicating the problem.

I was driving on a freeway and my vehicle went into "Powertrain malfunction/Reduced power mode " and slowed me down from 65 -70 miles an hours to under 20 miles an hour. This almost cause a semi to slam into the back of my vehicle missing me by inches. The dealership is unable to recreate this issue but confirmed it did happen. Ford and the dealership have been giving me a run around with this since they can't diagnose the issue.

2023 Ford Maverick-??s rear windshield shattered. No reasonable explanation for that to happen. Could have caused personal injury to driver or passengers. Reported it to both dealer and Ford customer service representative. Ford Case Number is 454-673-63. Called State Farm insurance to notify them. Vehicle was in garage and the glass must have shattered sometime in the middle of the night.

Windshield chip at day 4 of ownership, full on crack requiring replacement week 4 of ownership. Windshields are clearly subpar, owners on 3rd and 4th replacement windshields already. Dont know if it's the glass or the vehicle design, but there's a problem here.
