The entire electrical system failed in my truck while DRIVING IN A SNOWSTORM. New engine light saying -??the PCM detected the power relay de-energized earlier than expected-??. The most alarming thing is that this truck runs like there is nothing wrong with it. No warnings or alerts. Then all of a sudden it dies. Total loss of power in the vehicle. I-??ve tried to have the dealership replace these issues but they have either canceled on me or have told me that the -??part isn-??t in-??. Meanwhile, my truck is not safe to drive. I-??ve read numerous reports of this same thing happening to other owners of this truck, with most of the consensus saying that the OEM factory wiring harness for the battery is bad.

The 12-volt accessory battery fails without warning resulting in a no-start situation. The failure to start has left my family stranded in dangerous weather and traffic conditions. The vehicle has been serviced repeatedly by a local Ford dealership who has confirmed that 12-volt battery issues. The 12-volt battery has been replaced twice, but this did not solve the battery drain issue. Warnings for powertrain malfunction and low state of battery charge showed up in the FordPass App starting in October 2023 and have continued for the past year without resolution.

The last time I vehicle was sitting at the Ford dealership for more than two weeks. I ended up with a low battery warning in their Ford app after taking it back in with less than 36,000 miles they replaced the battery. It has been a year since then and the same issue has happened now that has been at Ford for over three weeks to fix the CV axle. Battery failure can leave. You stranded in remote locations with no way to start your vehicle which should be a safety concern. The other safety concern could be the reason that the electrical drains the battery could cause problems with the high-voltage battery causing fire. While researching the issue, I have discovered that this is a common problem with the 22 through 24 Mavericks and obviously the issue is not the battery the issue is the electrical system draining the battery.

Issue Description: The battery has been consistently failing. The battery has been replaced twice in 2024 already. On both occasions after replacing the battery, the new battery was drained and dead again within 48 hours. The battery totally loses power and has to be jumped off nearly daily, sometimes two and three times per day. The battery drains so low that the doors won't unlock with the key fob, no interior lighting or engine power. Safety - Vehicle constantly won't restart in rural locations with no vehicles around to jumpstart the vehicle. The Ford Service Center has inspected the vehicle on several occasions and placed the vehicle on it's diagnostic tool twice this year, but it never reveals anything that is draining the battery. There are no warning signs. These 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrids simply do not start, and FORD has no solution to these daily repetitive battery drains. Any time the engine is turned off, there is a very high probability that the truck will not restart without locating someone to hook up jumper cables and jumpstart the vehicle. There are hundreds and hundreds of online complaints about this very issue with the draining batteries on the 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrids. Yet, Ford refuses to issue a recall on the vehicles or make any efforts to resolve the outstanding issue for customers who have purchased these defective 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid Trucks. The customers are simply stuck with defective vehicles that won't start.

I am constantly shown "deep sleep" to conserve the battery in my FORD app on my phone. I also do not have interior lights when I open the door or unlock the vehicle after sitting several hours or overnight. I have the vehicle back to the dealer multiple times to resolve this issue and am currently waiting on a BCM replacement to be completed. There were no warning lamps or messages on the truck itself only through the FORD application and the physical lack of interior lights when opening or unlocking the vehicle.

Vehicle enters "Deep Sleep" mode NEARY EVERY DAY and all 12 volt systems such as lighting are not useable. Vehicle will NOT START sometimes when Deep Sleep mode occurs. No matter how much we charge the 12v battery, this deep sleep issue will return within 1 day. Dealer has not fixed this issue after "supposedly" checking it out on a few visits to Livermore Ford Dealership. It has now been over 2 1/2 years of this problem with no fix.

vehicle suddenly lost power while travelling at freeway speeds, and decelerated to 35 mph with no speed control. All electrical systems showed warning lights, and I was suddenly driving 30 mph under traffic speeds at a freeway interchange with no escape lanes or emergency lanes for half a mile. I am a paramedic with extensive EVOC training, and I can say with my extensive experience that this was a near-fatal situation, only avoided by the attentive drivers around me, and I almost created chain collisions attempting to maneuver to the side until there was a breakdown lane accessible. Vehicle had all electrical systems in warning, and vehicle automatically set the parking break before I put it in park. I attempted to restart the vehicle several times with no success. The vehicle entered a battery mode which did not allow use of the accelerator pedal, and automatically drove the care at 30-35 mph with only breaking control to control speed. I was able to limp the vehicle off the freeway in the breakdown lane, and move it to a safe location. This event was an extreme hazard to myself and all around me, and I compliment the semi driver behind me on his quick response to the sudden deceleration of my vehicle. Note I own 2 of these vehicles, a 2022 and a 2023, and both have experienced this issue.

Front passenger seat, seat heating element malfunctioned - created a small fire and smoke produced. Dealership diagnosed as 'a couple of hot spots that burned through the cover.' It is available for inspection. Fire hazard caused burn on passenger, smoke inhalation. Smoke/fire started while driving at 55mph, resulted in sudden breaking and pulling off the road. Yes, the dealer found hot spots that caused the burning - but take no responsibility for the issue as that car has 56000 miles. No, it has only been inspected by Ford dealership. No warning lamps, no symptoms until physical burning sensation prior to the smoke/fire.
