Tires that were purchased Feb 2004 with 25/30 K on them dry-rotted to the point they could not be balanced and were a safety issue. Original tires were Goodyear american Eagle GT size P225/5516bw.. these tires were not parked on anything that could cause a moisture issue and they were never cleaned without proper cleaning materials.

While driving 45 mph front passenger side tire blew out. No impact reported.

While driving 45-50 mph, passenger rear tire disintegrated from vehicle, however consumer was able to pull to the side of the road. Goodyear inspected tire and advised there was a small puncture which caused tire to lose pressure and disintegrate. Consumer's family member suffered back injuries as a result of the accident. Consumer is very concerned about the safety of the 3 remaining tires because window sticker stated vehicle should have 16 inch tires, but this vehicle has 17 inch tires. Tire size 245/445zr17/original tires/tire mileage-5300mi/dot number M68rfc2R4700.
