The contact owns a 2004 Ford Mustang. While attempting to drive off from a parking space, the vehicle accelerated from 0 to approximately 40 mph. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the front driver's side of another vehicle the air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was damaged, but was not towed. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 171,000.

The contact owns a 2004 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and engaging the accelerator pedal, the pedal would become stuck. As a result, there was an increase in engine rpms.the contact mentioned that she would have to kick at the pedal or engage the brakes in order to release the accelerator from being stuck. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 65,000 and the current mileage was 70,000. The carpet above the gas pedal gets caught in the gas pedal. It folds back toward the gas pedal. He is going to call a dealer to see if they will correct the problem. His car is still under warranty.

The accelerator became stuck on the consumers 2004 Mustang svt cobra while driving at a low speed. When the consumer applied the brakes and tried placing the vehicle in neutral, the throttle was wide open and the engine revved up. The consumer simply turned off the engine and pulled over. The consumer had to manually lift the accelerator pedal after stopping the vehicle. The consumer did not take the vehicle to the dealer, he is waiting to see what Ford is going to do about this. The has contacted the Ford manufacturer who said the consumer needed to make appointment with the dealership but denied there was even an issue.
