My daughter was driving my 2004 Ford Mustang, when light turned green upon acceleration the gas pedal stuck( because of carpet) causing her to loose control of the car as she was making a left turn on wet pavement. She hit another vehicle totaling the car and she was also hurt when her face hit steering wheel because airbag did not deploy.

The caller's son pulled into a gas station when both front air bags deployed. He was going about 2 mph, and he did not hit anything. Air bags deployed without warning. Dealer cut the airbag out of the steering wheel, and they put the passenger's side air bag back in. The diagnostic said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. Caller was told that there were scrapes on the bottom of the vehicle and that might have caused the air bags to deploy. This will not be covered by the warranty. The caller said the vehicle has not been in any accidents. Manufacturer sided with dealer and said she will have to pay for repairs.
