So I had an oil leak in the front engine area that I could not figure out I figured it was the oil cooler where the filter mounts so I purchased a gasket and replaced it hoping that would be it... NOPE ! Took it into a local shop to have it looked at they put dye in my oil and said it was my front main seal leaking ok 300 bucks n no more leaking WRONG ! Took it back to the shop to find out my timing cover was not only cracked but missing chunks of aluminum. So I said go ahead and replace the cover but the common cause is something wrong with the chain also so I told the shop go ahead n fix whatever is broken (no rough idle shaking check engine light ever appeared) so they opened it up and called me to tell me absolutely nothing internally is bad with my car not the chain tensioners guides nothing. Just the timing cover. That pisses me off because now i have to wonder if the covers just break when do I need to buy another one and as a Ford guy it makes it worse
