OMG on my 2005 Ford Mustang GT a planetary gear exploded and destroyed second gear in my automatic transmission with only 45,000 miles on it! It's out of warranty. It started as a whine and turned into a grinding noise, and according to Ford "Unfortunate"; but "sorry we can not assist you"!!!! Dealer wants ~$4700 to put in a re manufactured trani, no thanks... double A MCO HELP!!! Ticking time bomb, dump it, if you can :)
