Mustang GT V8

  • Manual transmission
  • 80,000 miles

Plastic seat lever keeps breaking under normal use. 3x replaced under warranty. Once after warranty I paid for it and put it on myself. Now it broke again. I told Ford that it seems to be a design problem. Obviously others have same problem.!

This problem is very minor compared to the issues I am having now but it broke off when my car was brand new. I wish it was my only complaint.....

Mustang 4.0L V6

My lever to fold the passenger seat back broke as well. Among all the other problems my car is having (like busted transmission) this is a minor fix at the bottom of the list of fixes

Mustang GT Conv 4.6L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,400 miles

The plastic lever that tilts the seat forward on my Mustang GT broke for the 3rd time. The car has 8,400 miles on it and not under warranty anymore because it is four years old. The dealer told me that lots of people come in with the same issue. The plastic piece isn't well designed and breaks under light use. I have seen billet aluminum levers on line but would prefer to keep it stock if possible.

Mustang GT Conv 4.6L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,200 miles

Cheap plastic knob installed by Ford to tilt seats forward. What is the deal with the car companies? They are willing to spend huge money on many things but leave the details out.

Mustang Pony

The handle that pulls the front seats forward to allow access to the rear seats is made of a cheap plastic... mine has broken off 3 times since ownership...these must be special ordered so its a big pain in the ass to replace them
