2006 MUSTANG GT MAKES A MOANING NOISE FROM THE REAR WHEN MAKING SHARP TURNS AT SLOW SPEED.
I HAD IT BACK TO 3 DIFFERENT FORD DEALERS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM A TOTAL OF 5 TIMES AND EACH TIME I HAD TO LEAVE THE CAR OVERNIGHT. THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE 331 REAR LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL, IT HAS A FAULTY CLUTCH PACK THAT THEY ALREADY CHANGED TWICE ON MY CAR. THE FIRST TIME THEY REPLACED THEY DIDNT SET UP THE REAR RIGHT AND THE PROBLEM RETURNED AFTER 1500 MILES. I CALLED FORD AND TOLD THEM THAT I WAS SICK AND TIRED OF TAKING MY 2006 MUSTANG GT TO THE SHOP. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR SUNDAY DRIVES AND LEAVE IT IN THE GARAGE

I had to find out the information for myself. The Ford dealer "wouldn't" give me any information on the problem.

The car has been in the shop 5 times for the same rear end noise, its not the costs but they keep fixing the same thing. Its not working the rear end howls and makes an air/grinding noise. Ford refuses to buy the car back voluntarily. It's sad when you finally get the dream car you always wanted and its a piece of sh*t and then some. All I own are Fords and this is making me want to own Chevys. The car only has 12,000 miles on it and the fact it still makes noises is just annoying.

Called my local Ford dealer (also where I purchased the car) explained the problem, asked them to check the date on my warranty...SORRY! your warranty expired about 5 weeks ago and there have been no recalls on this problem. I asked, could you work with me on this since it is definitely a factory defect. No! Sorry, we have to be specific on our warranty repairs. So, I took it to an independent and got the repair for a total of 602.00 dollars and 5 days with a rental car...220.00 m0re. Now I can trade it in with a clear conscience...BUT NO FORD!!!
