The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. While driving approximately 15 mph, the interior door padding and lining separated from the door. The failure recurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to an upholsterer who stated that the door panels needed to be replaced on both sides of the door. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

Driver side window door area has a tapping and popping sound when going over bumps. The window and door area also produces a rubber rubbing sound when it is cold and or damp. The tapping noise goes away when it is warm outside. I have told star Ford of glendale many times that the noises are mostly when it is cold. Fords Q.a.suggested that it could have been from the convertible top or from the assembly line. Star Ford will not test the vehicle when it is cold out due to their work starting time. By only checking it when it is warm defeats the whole purpose of finding the problem. The service manager told me I should drive the vehicle until the noise eventually goes away and that I have 3 years warranty. Help, I need suggestions! Ford refuses to work on it any longer.
