Mustang Gt Premium 2.5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 113,000 miles

The most annoying thing about this issue is Ford is aware of this issue and has not fixed it. There was a recall on the 2002 Ford Focus for the same issue.

Mustang Pony Package Convertible V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

During and after it rained, water would pour onto the passenger floorboard when the car was driven. To eliminate the issue, I had to clean out the drain holes at the bottom of the firewall and replace the cabin air filter because it got soaked. When I found the drains holes, one on each side of the bottom of the firewall, they were completely blocked with tree debris and dirt. I accesed the drain through the engine compartment and used my finger to dig the debris out until water freely drained from the holes. I then replaced the cabin air filter because it got soaked from the standing water in the firewall. I would also recommend cleaning these drains on a regualr basis to prevent the issue from reoccuring.
